Is it just me or do all the Tarte palettes look the same as one another or pretty similar? Like Too Faced, Tarte hasn’t much in the way of single shadows (except those new ones that are online only) so I think it’s very easy for them to keep coming out with almost identical shades with new names. Like Mo Merrell, I also find this pretty boring. Venus and Seascape look lovely but I don’t need a whole palette for just 2 shades.

I agree. I feel like if you have at least two palettes from Tarte, you really have the shade range from all their palettes. I wish they would change it up.

I totally agree with you on all Tarte and Too Faced palettes looking the same. You have one, you have them all. In this Tarte palette, I see 2 blues, which are the only blues that I’ve seen from them in last 3 or 4 years, otherwise, it’s the same ol’ same ol’

I do appreciate the “five pan” design of it-I really like it when companies group colors together in combinations that work, rather than putting them in randomly. Still, it seems like every palette Tarte comes out with looks the same. I don’t even own any Tarte palettes for that reason. Every time I see a new release I’m totally bored.

Aesthetically, this palette is my EVERYTHING. The organization, the packaging, all of it. But these shades seem really similar and, unless you’re just starting in makeup, you probably have a lot of these, especially from Tarte in the past. The LE 16-shadow palette in the purple packaging was infinitely more diverse in color selection; for a palette I wear every day, I still haven’t hit pan on any of them. I can’t imagine any of the similar shades in here being different enough to justify the same use.

I could see this easily working better as two separate palettes divided down the middle. Browns/pinks/purples in one and taupes/rusts/blue’s in the other. Especially as a holiday palette, kind of a “keep one gift the other” set.

Pretty colors and a nice mix of matte and shimmer. I too like they way they are grouped together to coordinate. That said, I too think this is for newbies not those of us who have collected for quite a while and also for approving up to mid range products. Of course, there are ppl like that all the time.Tarte may be wise to remember them.

Tarte’s strategy seems to be to flood the market with “new” products constantly that all look alike. I’ve never been impressed with the quality of their shadows either. Even though they’re more expensive, I will stick with Viseart….at least a their pallets are different and the quality is consistently good.

I’m interested to see how they swatch. I think the colors are beautiful and if the pigmentation is anything like the Tartlette in Bloom palette I might be tempted. But, I love neutrals. I also like that the palette isn’t too bulky…easy to store, easy to travel with.

This palette screams my name; the shades are exactly my aesthetic. I am all about Tarte’s typical softer-toned style; as opposed to say, Urban Decay’s typical neon style (I own zero Vice palettes) and this baby has me drooling! Logically, I don’t need another neutral-filled Tarte palette, but I can make an exception for this one, in part because of the giant mirror (which I always jump for). I’m definitely adding this to my Santa list along with Tartelette 2, but before I buy I’ll wait for swatches. I bet half the paler colors won’t even work on my skin tone; crossing my fingers and toes!

You would think that with the launch of their metallic shades that are a nice shade range they would have upped their game on the holiday palette but sadly, this looks so cliché of Tarte once again. There are swatches on their website of the shades and they look nice, but so similar to pretty much every other palette they have released.

It’s a pretty palette, if the quality is there. The Tarteist palettes have been really good, but I was unimpressed with last year’s holiday offerings. I’m not sure a couple blues and a couple plums qualify as “color vibes,” but it’s more than most of their palettes have been offering lately. I doubt I’ll get this one.

I’ve never bought a Tarte palette, so don’t have experiences on quality. I doubt I’ll go for this one as I’m full up on neutrals and anyway, I don’t buy LE’s. This all said, this one seems to me more cohesive than several introduced lately; the shades make sense together. And it’s a little more lively than some (I’m thinking about the Bobbi Brown neutrals mega-palette). IMO perhaps a good kit for someone just starting a collection (depending on the reviews of course).
