The Summer Season: Chanel Exotic Rouge Allure Lipstick

Chanel Exotic Rouge Allure Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a vibrant shade of orange with only the slightest hint of coral tones.  It’s mostly orange, but you can tell it’s not your typical true orange, too.   It has a fine dusting of gold shimmer that’s hardly noticeable when worn, but it helps give lips that glossy, full look.  The pigmentation is excellent and the color gives me full coverage.

Is this the right orange for you? Would you wear it?

The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.

Christine, pretty much every single lipstick looks amazing on you! Makes it difficult for the rest of us 😀 But thanks so much for all the info, it’s so helpful! Keep up the great work!

This definitely looks like a colour I would wear, and I just noticed I ran out of lipstick with this similar colour. Guess who will get it this saturday? 😀 I love it!!!

Today I have swatched this and it looked a bit darker on me than I’d like to (I’m NC 40). I have bought Rouge Coco Sari Doré lipstick instead, but anyway thanks for the review! At least I had a guide on what to get. 🙂

Today I used the Kaska Beige quad from Chanel with Teddy Pencil & the new blush Happy Together from Mac plus I used the Temp Rising (neon orange lip pencil from MAC -which blended pretty good) I’m usually rushing in the am to get to work & get up at 6 am so it was a quick job but looks pretty good. LOL

Ugh! You are not helping me curb my orange lipstick obsession Christine lol! This color is so beautiful! I’ve never had a Chanel lipsticck before, this may have to be my first!

I have to agree. All orange hues just look brilliant on you. A very nice colour. But after seeing so many of them lately, I find it hard to see the difference in them now. They are all starting to look the same to me!!!! 🙂
