i dont overdo it on job interviews…usually, understated eyes. not neutrals though, i can get away with gold, since im dark skinned…and i either do a nude lip or a deep hue like HIP lipgloss in Ingenue. as for my skin, i just try to even things out….usually studio fix

A good question I have to deal with the next weeks. I think I would use neutral colors like Next To Nothing, Shroom, Patina, Satin Taupe, Modest Tone and Remotely Grey, black Mascara and maybe a grey kohl kajal. On the lips Rue d’Bois or Barely lit or Ahoi there. Maybe a little rouge.

I’d keep the make-up fairly natural, fresh and polished looking. Probably neutral, light brown shades of eyeshadow and a mid-pink/rose coloured lipstick.

I wear matte powder and lipstick, to look more polished and professional. Usually some blotted-down Sweetie, but I also really like By Degrees Slimshine for work and would probably wear it to an interview. Natural blush, like The Balm’s Stainiac. On eyes, just mascara and maybe a little brown liner. Oh, and polished eyebrows are key!

I like to wear something that is not very bold but at the same time very much “me”, since it is me they (hopefully;)) will be hireing. This means that I choose colors that look good on me, but that aren’t all neutral. I love clinique strawberry fudge for this, and my glo minerals trios.

I like colors, soft and strong alike; wearing them sheer is better than choosing neutral colors for me.

Luckily for me I’m a teacher and don’t have to be business appropriate 🙂

I don’t wear a lot of make up at work, so I try to use just minimal amounts in an interview (so they get a reliable picture of what I will actually look like at work!)- concealer, powder, eyebrow powder, a little blush and maybe a sheer lipstick.

For the job interview I went on today I wore

Lightly Rip l/s
Rich & Ripe l/g
Plum Dubois blush
Blacktrack eyeliner on top and bottom
Plushlash

Soft and beautiful…

heheheh thanks gang 🙂 I have two interviews tomorrow and one on Wed. Sooooooooo I will totally be trying some of these combos!! One is at a day spa, so I will likely do something a little more bold for that one.

My normal interview look is neutral (bronze/brown) shadow with subtle highlight on the browbone, black eyeliner on my waterline (no eyeliner on top), and two coats of curling mascara. A nude bronzey blush and some tinted moisturizer or just powder, depending on the weather, and a soft rosey pink lipstick or gloss, such as Clinique Bamboo Pink. I go for a really polished, barely there look.

I usually line my eyes softly in black pencil eyeliner, throw on a neutral eye shadow (puck by Stila is a favorite of mine) with some neutral, not too shimmery gloss or a light sheer lipstick.

I try to keep it neutral but enough so that my features are defined.
