Stila Haul from HauteLook & Mini-Review of Eyeshadows and Lip Glaze
Remember when I told you about HauteLook’s Stila sale? Well, I finally had a chance to swatch the products I bought from them. The four products you see above cost me $30, plus shipping, which isn’t a bad deal at all! I did a look using the trio here, too. The circular designed product is Mazatlan eyeshadow. The other three products came as a set (along with a bronzer, which isn’t pictured, because I gave it away), the “Glow Bronzing Set.” It came with Stila’s Bronze Smudgepot, Gold Glow trio eyeshadow, Brown Sugar Lip Glaze (I think…), and then the bronzer.  Pretty good deal 🙂
My favorite out of the four products was the Lip Glaze, but I’m glad I got it on sale. I don’t see myself paying the $22 retail price for them otherwise! Â It’s very glossy and smooth, great color, and it wears well throughout the day. Â The two shadow trios I got were decent, but I’m not a huge fan of mineral (or mineral-like) eyeshadows… if it’s baked, I probably won’t fall in love.
See swatches!

The smudge pot and the lip glaze are gorgeous!!
I’m such a sucker for bronze 😉
Those look beautiful, esp. the eyeshadow colors! I’d gladly take them off your hands, haha. 🙂 At that sale I got the set of three lip glazes for dirt cheap, and am glad I did… I found them sooo sticky when worn alone, and would not pay $22 each for them!
Haha 😉
I’m glad you got some stuff from the sale, too!!
they look so gorgeous 😀
and i love the stones as a background 😀 Was it Your idea Christine?
great pic!!!!!!
Oh, I’ve been using stones forever, haha!
The swatches look nice but usually i only buy stila when they have sales or package deals.
Too expensive otherwise? I do find that they’re a bit pricey.
Ahh, I love smudgepots! Despite the name, once they dry they seriously do not smudge one bit. I have the bronze one too, and it’s pretty wonderful for me. How do you like it?
So very true. They’re all right, but I love the texture of fluidlines better. My smudgepot isn’t as smooth as I’d like.
I also got the bronzing set from the hautelook sale.
I dont use the eyeshadow that much and when I do, I use it wet.
I love the lipglaze and the smudge pot though.
I’ve never used mac fluidlines, how does it compare?
Oh, nice! I think it’s better used wet, too 🙂
I prefer fluidlines – they’re smoother, creamier.
Christine, i have Stila’s Lip Glaze in Brown Sugar too – its really a lovely colour (paired with Touch lippy from MAC and its gorgeous!). But i hate the texture – very sticky and thick and i somehow feel that you have to be ultra gentle when applying the gloss otherwise the brush drags the lipstick off (which means i twist more gloss onto the brush – not good). Can you think of a dupe for Brown Sugar in Chanel or MAC pls?
Hmm, maybe Chai lipglass!
