The formula is supposed to be pigmented, long-wearing, and blendable (for more on how it compares to the previous formula, check out this post). It had very good pigmentation with a soft, smooth, and finely-milled texture that blended out easily on the skin. This is a shade that is going to be best for fairer skin tones or for diffusing a more intense/deeper shade in a more ombre/gradient effect. It is more matte, but it didn’t read chalky on me, which was a pleasant surprise. The color wore well for eight hours on me.

Wow, this is pretty, and you’re right, not chalky-looking! Very impressed
Glad you like it!
My light olive complexion can actually wear these slightly cool pinks quite well. I don’t reach for them often though as I am on a binge of nude cheek with pale gold or champagne highlight medium level strobe.
I think this type of pink can really lend itself to a fresh and youthful look. Not sure I can pull that off at 53.. maybe as a pop of colour on high cheekbone point. It’s definitely pretty.
I still have puppy love on my wishlist, need more products to make up order, but MG products have been dicey lately and I don’t want to push it ending up with unnecessary/unwanted product.
Oh, you! I know you can rock it 😉
What a sweet name for a blush 🙂
It is!
It looks less matte on the cheek but that might be your other makeup.
My skin is normal, so I have, unfortunately, some oil on my face! 🙁
This one looks good. I think I like the shade of Valentine a bit more.
That is a nice color, too!
A no-go for me, I can barely get enough color out of MAC Pink Swoon to look like much more than Promise Ring looks on your cheeks! LoL!
Which I find hysterically funny, because most people, even in beauty stores never guess how dark the foundation shades that actually match me are! The light eyes REALLY throw them off!?
LOL! Definitely a skip for this one then 😉
This would be so pretty with porcelain skin.
I agree!
What a lovely soft color..
It is!
I’m so upset they discontinued First Love and put this out instead. First Love was the only blush I could find that finally looked like a pretty pastel glowing pink on my super pale skin. Everything else just ends up looking like a medium or dull pink on my cheeks.
Oh no! 🙁 This is pretty light still, though!
Love this blush! It looks very similar to an old shade from MUG – First Love with less shimmer! I guess if you have one, you won’t need the other 😉
Yes, definitely!
