Burberry London With Love Blush Highlighter Review, Photos, Swatches
Burberry London with Love Blush Highlighter
Burberry London with Love Blush Highlighter ($68.00 for 0.20 oz.) is a light-medium pink with subtle, warmer undertones and a luminous shimmer-sheen finish. It is made up of a lighter, warm white highlighter and a deeper, medium-dark pink with a satin finish. Urban Decay Cherry (DC, $26.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). NARS Fervor (Left) (PiP, ) is warmer (85% similar). NARS Robotic (LE, $30.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Pearl Blossom (LE, $22.00) is lighter (85% similar). Makeup Geek Head Over Heels (DC, $9.99) is less shimmery, darker, brighter (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
It sold out within a few days of launching at Sephora (and I believe it was previously on Burberry’s website), but if it ever launches elsewhere or restocks, hopefully this review is of use. (Or if you missed out, providing you with dupes.) It had good color payoff with a soft, smooth, and blendable texture that applied well to skin, didn’t emphasize pores, and lasted for eight hours before fading. It’s as described–a highlighting blush–so it adds color and luminosity. I wish Burberry would consider adding highlighters to their permanent range, because I think they’ve done a good job with the texture of their recent releases, so it would be a great thing to make permanent.

I never thought it would actually be this nice? Burberry blushes have so much fragrance that I think I’m off their powder products for a while! On another note, the Finally free lipstick looks SO SO pretty! I want it so bad now!
It works! I know that with powders with designs like this, it can be hit or miss, so it was nice that it was actually good!
You look absolutely beautiful in this picture! What a gorgeous product. I hope I can find it.
Thank you, Alisha!
It’s pricey, but pretty! Glad it scored well for those interested. I like how you can get 3 uses out of this -white highlighter, red blush, than pink highlighter/blush combined.
It’s easiest to use them together, or maybe just the blush alone – the white highlighter section is a little thin, so it would be hard to just get it!
Glad you brought this up. These design-centered products confuse me – or maybe I just feel they’re impractical. I think I would find it stressful to try to use each element separately. And honestly, being stressed over makeup is not the way to start the day! The blended shade is lovely though on you.
Based on Burberry’s marketing, they’re not really expecting you to use one or the other but together. You can definitely use more/less of one, which makes it a little more versatile than if they had combined the colors into a single pan of product!
Agree Michele~ It would drive me bonkers and I would be horrified if I messed up the compact. I can’t do these sorts of products and I’m so over my collector mindset from years past.
I am surprised at how lovely this looks.
Forgive me Christine, have you already reviewed the Love London LE bronzer/highlighter?
No, I don’t have that yet! I’m not sure I will review it, because as I don’t have it yet, I’m anticipating it selling out before I have the time to try it. I usually only post a review despite something sell out if I’ve already gone and done the majority of work (photograhing/swatching/testing), but if it sells out and I haven’t touched it yet, then I set it aside for donation.
So beautiful. The more swatches I see of this product the more I want it but it has quite a hefty price tag.
It is pretty!
This is very pretty, I’d buy it if I didn’t already have MAC Pearl Blossom and UD Cherry, both of which I love!
Yay for cheaper dupes!
Were you able to get the other color, Christine (fingers crossed)?
I did purchase it, but I don’t have it, and I haven’t tried it – if it sells out before I do any work with it, then I will not even start the process of photographing. I had already put in the effort on this one before it sold out (photographing/swatching/testing) so it really depends on how quickly it sells through.
I do not need the blush. I definitely want that lipstick you are wearing! Hahahaha!
🙂
This is beautiful, in the pan and on your face! If it does get re-stocked, my wallet will be glad that I’m waiting on Pearl Blossom to arrive!
I hope it’s restocked/launches elsewhere!
Yes, it’s really beautiful.
I agree with you about Burberry highlighters, I just bought the S/S 16 lace in Nude Gold and it is very well executed. I have a hard to match skin tone and although I have acquired many highlighters through the years, very few have been “perfect” for my individual needs. Burberry seems to have more neutral undertones in their line, which I guess I have become with age. They need a few, Hourglass seems to have 40 in their main line.
By the way, I clicked the NARS Fervor link and in your pic demonstrating said blush worn; you look gorgeous. Just saying 😉
It’s strange to me that some brands don’t have certain products at all – like not even one or two highlighters? The two they put out for S/S ’16 would definitely work well as permanent options.
Very pretty, I like this one a lot! I like your whole look here, actually 🙂
Thank you!
SO GOOD! I wish I could afford it!
Aw!
i got this in the mail today and i LOVE it. the design is cute and all, but the one thing i didn’t like is that it’s sort of a struggle to use them apart. that sheenie pink is just ‘meh’ to me but the blush and highlight are SO freakin’ gorgeous separately.
It’s very pretty, and I totally agree with you that they aren’t really easily used individually – though I think that’s why they called it a blush highlighter (designed to be used together).
Oh, this is so pretty! I don’t wear pink blush too much. I got the bronze option. I was hoping to get this one this week. Looks like it’s a no go. Now, I’m mad at myself a little. Did you happen to get the bronzer? I’d love to hear your opinion. The one thing I don’t care for us the strong fragrance to it. Love the packaging!
I hope you love the bronze one, though! I did, but I don’t know when I will be able to review or not. If it sells out before I even photograph, I probably will not do so (I have about 30 cheek products that arrived in the last 24 hours), though. I only reviewed this one because I had already done all the work prior to it selling out!
I totally get that! Im sure I will love it. I hope they restock these! 🙁
Thank you for understanding <3
That’s a really pretty look you’ve got going Christine. The purples suit you and the lipstick is gorgeous.
I really like the blush too – very pretty colour.
This looks pretty on you. I got this one because it looked like something that would look good on my cheeks. But the Sephora product page lied–it said there was no fragrance or perfume added. I got a whiff of the perfume before I even opened the compact. So disappointing. Burberry doesn’t need to add fragrance to its products–they proved it by keeping it out of the Runaway palette highlighter. I just can’t handle a perfumed powder on my sensitive cheeks. 🙁 This will be returned.
This is really beautiful! I have a silly question though-in the full face picture are you wearing them separately (it looks like you are wearing the blush and then highlighter on top) or is it blended together?
So, so pretty. Gorgeous on Christine too. In addition to the color, I love the subtle glow.
How pretty this is! I can understtand it selling out in no time. I’ll certainly check the dupes for it.
