The Summer Season: Illamasqua Mistress Intense Lipgloss

Illamasqua Mistress Intense Lipgloss ($19.00) is a creamy, orange-coral with fierce pigmentation and a juicy, plump look. Illamasqua’s Intense Lipglosses really feel like liquid lipsticks sometimes, just because they’re so packed with color, have the look and feel of both a gloss and lipstick. They’re non-sticky, too, and while the gloss parts fades after an hour or two, the color itself remains for a solid four to five.

Is this the right coral lipgloss for you? Would you wear it?

The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.

I’ve been looking for a good coral to start with, I’ve never worn anything bright on my lips but I wanted to try a coral for summer.
This looks stunning, maybe I’ll try Illamasqua.

this looks beautiful on you! its definitely one of those colours that doesn’t suit very many people but those it does it looks amazing on =)

Ooh, the finish + coverage of this look amazing! (The colour would wreak absolute havoc with my skintone, but all the same: the formula looks gorgeous.)

The shade is lovely on you, Christine 🙂

What kind of applicator/wand do illamasqua lipglosses come with? it’s hard to tell from the bottle (and they don’t sell it in my local sephora)

Kim Avatar

I want to try these so bad….I really want “absorb” but they don’t sell it at sephora and the price for shipping from the website to the US is so much… 🙁

ooo this is pretttttttty. Though, I think i’d look so weird if it were on my lips. haha I think I might be too tan to pull that off. & I don’t think any of my near-by Sephoras carry Illamasqua in-store (boo!) so I can’t swatch it in person. It looks gorgeous on you though!! Do you have any color recommendations from this line for NC40-43 skin color? I love the intensity of these.

I really luv this color, but hesitant to purchase. I’m not sure if this will work for my NC45 skin (w/ yellow/orange undertones). Christine do you think this color will work for WOC with medium to dark skintones?

I LOVE your Illamasqua swatches, I also love Illamasqua <3 – Do you think this shade would look good on the very pale/cool toned women of the world?
