Urban Decay Paranoid Afterglow 8-Hour Blush
Urban Decay Paranoid Afterglow 8-Hour Blush ($26.00 for 0.23 oz.) is described as a “medium bronze with gold shimmer.” It’s a slightly muted, medium-dark brown with warm undertones and a soft, pearly shimmer. Melt Cosmetics Lynx (P, $22.00) is warmer (90% similar). MAC I'll Hold My Breath #1 (LE, ) is less shimmery (90% similar). MAC Ganymede (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery, lighter, less pigmented (90% similar). ColourPop Santos (LE, $8.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). ColourPop Glo Up (LE, $8.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). ColourPop Poolside (P, $8.00) is warmer (90% similar). MAC Cheek Pollen (LE, $24.00) is cooler (85% similar). MAC Worldly Wealth (LE, $24.00) is more shimmery, darker, cooler (85% similar). Zoeva ND030 (PiP, ) is lighter, brighter, warmer (85% similar). NYX Glow (P, $6.50) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). MAC Cloudy Copper (LE, $31.00) is more shimmery, brighter, warmer (85% similar). Hourglass Brilliant Nude (PiP, $38.00) is more shimmery, lighter, brighter (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Urban Decay’s describes their powder blush formula as having “buildable color” with a “blendable, finely milled” texture that will wear for “eight long hours.” This shade is exclusive to Urban Decay’s website. It had semi-opaque color payoff–it was one of the more pigmented shades in the range–that could be applied with a lighter hand or blended out for sheerer coverage or applied in two to three layers for more opaque coverage. It had a soft, smooth, and finely-milled consistency that wasn’t too soft or too firm. The color applied well and lasted for eight hours on me.

Glad this got a great score
Me too!
Pretty! I would like to see these become available at Sephora and Ulta though. I hate paying the shipping fees on UD’s site. I think it’s about $8 for a purchase less than $50?! That’s my one hang up with UD.com. They will run a sale- but then you pay it back on shipping! lol!
Having to pay for shipping is the worst, lol! I mean, first world problems for sure, but I get you!!
Nicole, UD.com now has a rewards/loyalty program, and you can join for free. It includes free shipping on all orders.

Of course they launch this AFTER I bought the Gwen Stefani collection and Vice XX Reloaded. lol I’m sure I’ll still be able to rack up points in no time.
Awseome!!! It’s about time. Thanks so much Rachel! I think I got this email and totally did not open it! LOL!
Well, FINALLY a real Afterglow bronzer! It looks really nice, too. Having CP Poolside, with either Glo Up or possibly Santos going in my cart next week, I will likely pass this one up.
So many good ones releasing lately!
Beautiful warm shade I might just have to get!
Keep me posted if you get it, Lily!
Not for me but very nice!
Hopefully one of the other ones is!
This shade is beautiful! It would be nice if it was available outside of the website as well.
I agree – would be great if they released them other places, too!
I’m glad Urban Decay is adding new shades to this range, even if this particular one isn’t for me.
Me too! I hope they’ll make them available at all retailers in the future.
Looks good! My favorite Afterglow blush is Innocent.
Nice!
I love the complete looks in many of your posts. Why is it that when I think to myself, “That eye look is particularly gorgeous,” it turns out to be Tom Ford (and in this case, partially LE Tom Ford)? I seriously bought the TF Disco Dust quad after seeing a look you posted in another review (supposed to arrive tomorrow). Same for the Cocoa Mirage quad (love, use nearly every day). TF products just have such a refined look.
Anyway, you are beautiful, and I love the complete looks in your posts. They are so helpful, and not just for the product being reviewed in the post.
Aww, thank you Nicole! 🙂 You are too sweet!
This looks exactly like my mac blush in format. I love love how pretty it is and the packaging is cute too. I’m totally getting this as a backup to my current one. It’s perfect!
Oh, that is great 😀
I find this very pretty!
My first thought was that it was too dark for me, but the blended out swatch is so pretty! Might work.
It just might – the formula is very forgiving!
Would you consider this blush color similar to the old discontinued version of the color Paranoid? It was my holy grail and was discontinued years ago. It looks like the color could be close but I think it was described back then as a tawny apricot or something along those lines…
I didn’t have the original Paranoid that I can recall, sorry!
