Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick
Bite Beauty Souffle Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “marshmallow pink.” It’s a pale pink with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. It had mostly opaque coverage, but it had some streakiness to it, so this one might be good to pair with a lip liner or primer. It doesn’t have a ton of slip, so it applied better than several other similarly-colored shades (from my experience). This shade lasted for four hours and was lightly hydrating. NARS Stourhead (LE, $25.00) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Playing Koi (LE, $19.00) is warmer (95% similar). LORAC Foodie (LE, $17.00) is cooler (95% similar). Bobbi Brown Pale Mauve (P, $40.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). MAC What in Carnation (P, $22.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). MAC Dreaminess (P, $25.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Dress to Impress (LE, $19.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). MAC Real Doll (LE, $19.00) is darker, warmer (80% similar). Bite Beauty Sugarcane Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “pale pink.” It’s a light, warm-toned pink with a satin finish. It had opaque color payoff with a lightweight, comfortable texture that was firmer and had a tendency to emphasize the texture of the lips, so you’ll want to exfoliate/prep lips for the smoothest finish. The lipstick wore for four hours on me and was neither hydrating nor drying. ColourPop Love Muffin (P, $7.00) is darker (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Sonic Truth (244) (P, $30.00) is lighter, warmer (95% similar). Maybelline Peach Buff (P, $7.99) is darker (95% similar). MAC Soft Savour (LE, $19.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). ColourPop Ace (LE, $7.00) is lighter (90% similar). ColourPop Meme Maker (LE, $9.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Clinique Beige Pop (P, $19.50) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (90% similar). Dior Forever Nude Look (100) (P, $45.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). MAC The Pinkprint (LE, $19.00) is lighter, cooler (85% similar). Make Up For Ever Inspiring Petal (150) (P, $23.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Flynn (P, $36.00) is darker, more muted (85% similar). NYX French Kiss (P, $6.00) is warmer (90% similar). MAC Selena Vive (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery, warmer, glossier (85% similar). MAC Love U Back (P, $19.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Dancefloor Princess (P, $37.00) is warmer, glossier (85% similar). ColourPop Hype Girl (LE, $7.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). Jaclyn Cosmetics Isla (DC, $18.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (85% similar). Bite Beauty Bouquet (DC, $24.00) is brighter, warmer (85% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. Bite Beauty Honeycomb Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “beige nude.” It’s a light-medium, peachy beige with warm undertones and a soft shine. It had rich color payoff, but the consistency was a little thicker and heavier on the lips, and it pulled into lip lines from the get-go. This worsened over the four hours it lasted, though the thicker consistency allowed me to smooth the color back out for the most part by pressing my lips together. It was lightly hydrating over time. Makeup Geek Jetsetter (P, $12.00) is darker (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty No Angel (242) (P, $30.00) is darker (90% similar). Estee Lauder Covetous Nude (P, $32.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). NARS Biscayne Park (PiP, $25.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). Maybelline Nude Embrace (P, $7.99) is lighter (95% similar). Hourglass I'll Never Stop (P, $34.00) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Wholesome (LE, $19.00) is darker, warmer (95% similar). ColourPop Magic Wand (P, $7.00) is darker (90% similar). Bobbi Brown Almost Bare (P, $40.00) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Cozy Up (LE, $19.00) is darker, warmer (95% similar). Givenchy Beige Mousseline (101) (P, $36.00) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). Too Faced Chocolate Milkshake (P, $21.00) is darker, glossier (90% similar). Too Faced Nip Slip (P, $22.00) is warmer (90% similar). Urban Decay Stark Naked (DC, $22.00) is darker, less glossy (95% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Severine (112) (DC, $30.00) is lighter, glossier (95% similar). Anastasia #11 (Vol. 1) (PiP, ) is darker, more muted, cooler (85% similar). NYX Sable (P, $6.00) is darker, cooler (95% similar). ColourPop Aquarius (P, $7.00) is darker, more muted, cooler (85% similar). Too Faced Melted Nude (P, $21.00) is lighter (90% similar). Formula Overview
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have “bold, creamy color” with “extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.” The majority of the range is very pigmented–typically opaque with one pass–with a few shades being semi-opaque but usually buildable. All 34 shades are shimmer-free and vary being a soft satin finish to a natural finish (light shine but not glossy). The consistency is very lightly creamy to lightly creamyu with some shades requiring light-medium pressure and can pull the lip a bit when gliding it across the lips, though the color doesn’t appear ragged and the bullet itself doesn’t feel stiff (while other shades applied without tugging, so check individual shade reviews!) The majority of the shades I’ve tested have been lightly hydrating to non-drying and fairly comfortable to wear for the long-haul. They wear longer than average, from four to eight hours, depending on the intensity and propensity of the shade to stain.
In comparison to the Luminous Creme formula: The level of color payoff and lemony scent are the two things that are similar, but they feel quite different on. If you have drier lips and need the intense hydration that the Luminous Creme formula offered, I don’t know if you’re going to like these. The Luminous Creme formula had a thicker consistency with a very creamy texture that glided on and never tugged at all, and the thicker consistency paired with the glossier finish was more forgiving on lips as it didn’t emphasize lines, natural texture, dryness, or flaking. Some had issues with the Luminous Creme formula bleeding/feathering and shorter-wear due to the amount of slip (high), and the Amuse Bouche formula has much, much less slip, so the wear is longer. I didn’t typically experience bleeding/feathering with the Luminous Creme formula, and that is also true with Amuse Bouche, but I would expect less with this more satin-finish formula for most (but not all). The scent seemed slightly stronger in the Amuse Bouche range, but it wasn’t noticeable after I was done applying the color.

Woo! Four left! I’m curious about Verbena, it looks interesting.
Getting close to the end!
I just got Verbana as a birthday present to myself and I love it! It’s a great color – a nice warm MLBB shade.
Argh, I want so many of these!! I’ll be back at VIB Rouge Status at Sephora soon, sigh.
Which ones are you tempted by the most so far, Jessica?
I have Sugarcane and it first applies as a warm pink, but changes into a neutral-to-cool pink within 5-10 minutes. I am very fair with cool undertones, so I’m betting that’s the difference. My natural lip color is a little mauve-ish, so I’m sure that influences the undertone as well. I’m enjoying Sugarcane, but I’m not finding the Amuse Bouche formula as hydrating and forgiving as the Luminous Cremes. They are more cousins than sisters, in my opinion.
Thanks for the reviews! They are extremely helpful, as always 🙂
That’s very interesting how it changes within a few minutes, Eliz! I don’t think the formulas are much alike. I certainly don’t think it’s a replacement – it’s more of a discontinuation of one formula and the addition of another.
OHHH! Good to know! Pale, cool, and mauve/red-violet lippped here.
Sugarcane is so pretty on you!! It looks like a great color for a nude-ish lip look! Christine, is there a way to pull dupes in the Dupe List by color, but different formula? Like if I wanted to find a lip gloss dupe for Sugarcane? I love the color, but find lighter colors to be particularly challenging on my chronically dry, chapped lips. Thank you!
I don’t pull dupes outside of formula, so while one could exist, I don’t look or add them so they are unlikely to be there.
Oooh, Honeycomb is pretty!!
It is!
These would all look horrible on me, but I like Honeycomb on you
Thank you, Katherine!
I like both Sugarcane and Souffle but I’m not sure how they will look with me being so pale. I still think Sake is a perfect nude out of the whole range for my coloring. Luckily, I have my mini Radish to try today to get an idea of the formula.
Looking forward to seeing if you pick up any shades in full-size!
These sure are light! Souffle would never look right on me, LoL! I cannot really imagine it looking all that great except on super fair peeps. Sugarcane is pretty nice, though! Reminds me of a glossier, slightly lighter version of MAC Please Me, which is as light as I dare go. For Sugarcane and Honeycomb I have dupes, so I don’t think I actually need those.
It’s funny how it worked out that the lighter shades I ended up reviewing later on, haha!
I like Sugarcane, but Souffle is way too milky looking to me. Honeycomb is just slightly too light milky for my liking.
It seems like finding a few shades NOT to like is a good thing when it comes to this range 😉
Definitely a good thing for the wallet. I think I’ve loved the looks of every single other shade you’ve reviewed so far. I only bought Black Truffle so far, and I got the Radish mini point perk from Sephora. I really love both. Opaque, pigmented, and they don’t feather or bleed. Good stuff!!!
Puts SUGARCANE on my list as well. look lighter than MAC Every Hip but still in that pink coral family that I love. *_*
Yayy! 😀
None of these would look good on me. I do like them, but they’d threw me right into zombieland 🙂
Money saved!
They’re all a bit too pale for my liking, with the exception of maybe Honeycomb.
Ah, at least one might work!
This batch is not my cup of tea. Thank you for your great reviews Christine!
No problem, Pami!
All of these are pretty, but Sugarcane might be my favorite. I really dig its warmth, though it is a bummer to know that it might show up cooler on more pigmented lips.
I would be curious to see how it turned out on your lips!
These particular shades aren’t for me, but the formula seems impressive! I’m excited to see swatches of Chai and Verbena. I was eyeing Liquorice as well!
I’ve been impressed by the wear/relative comfort, though I do prefer the prior formula for something ultra-hydrating!
Pretty colors, and I’m glad they perform well, but too light for me!
Seems they are too light for many!
I like the last two. But, I noted you saying they pull into lines. Do you think liner would help? Thanks 🙂
Lip liner or primer should help!
Souffle souffle souffle ( clapping with a frantic grin on my face while turning round the coffe table )
Yay 🙂
