MAC COSMETICS has 25% off all holiday kits PLUS 25% off pre-made palettes, including the 15x palettes (which are some of their best pre-made ones, from my experience) and the 9x palettes. This pricing is also in effect at the following retailers: NORDSTROM, MACY’S, and BLOOMINGDALE’S. Looks like this will be good through 11/30 (per MAC’s website). $63.75 for Warm Neutral Palette? Total steal though!

=-O I don’t ever remember MAC having a sale on anything!! I wonder why they did this (are sales dipping? aside from the holday sets, are these palettes going to be discontinued?) and if this will be a recurring thing for the company. I think I’m going to pick up a few things for gifts.
I remember when the economy really came crashing down they did do a sale or two, and I think I have seen them do a % off on the holiday kits at some point… it is pretty rare. I AM surprised at 25% off on the 15 palettes, though. Those are permanent, and I think that $85 was fair enough for MAC! $63.75 though? Really good, since they are full-sized.
Totally – with the sale, it’s less than $5/shadow!

I don’t own any Mac eyeshadows. I was planning on Makeup Forever being my next eyeshadow purchase, but I’m wondering about this sale. What’s most important to me is longevity and no fallout. What would you recommend?
I think Make Up For Ever is a more consistent formula. Longevity is about the same for both, and fall out just depends on the shade and finish.
Thank you! I need to keep reminding myself not to collect subpar palettes and hold out for the good stuff. I don’t have endless amounts of space!
Dang it!!! I wish I would’ve put a bit of $’s aside this month! But I NEVER saw this one coming, or yes, I most definitely would have. MAC nearly never does any sort of discounts or sales. EVER.

The Warm Neutral x 15 Palette is finally MINE. (Well ordered… we shall see if they over sold it. lol)
But I was disappointed in IMATS Toronto booth as they had it for sale, but excluded it from the show discount… 🙁
I didn’t see anything on Mac’s site about this….if a Canadian was interested, would the best place to buy be off Mac’s website?
