The Spring Season: NP Set Mauritius Lipgloss
The Spring Season: NP Set Mauritius Lipgloss
NP Set Mauritius Lipgloss ($15.00) is a stunning, fiery-orange shimmered peachy-orange gloss. This is truly stunning! It looks gorgeous when swatched, but on lips, the shimmer and shine of the gloss really becomes apparent. I would love this gloss even more if it was just a smidgen more pigmented/vibrant, but the way it shimmers is divine! It’s a fairly creamy gloss so it’s a little on the thicker side (fine with me) and wears a solid three hours on me.
Is this the right gloss for you? Would you wear it?
The Spring Season is a series of posts featuring my favorite soft beige, coral, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for the first blossom of spring — that runs through March 2010.
It is sooooooo beautiful! I love it!
Ooh that looks lovely!
This looks identical to NARS lip gloss in Orgasm. The only difference is Orgasm shimmers and NP glitters.
I wish Orgasm looked this good on me, LOL.
This looks great! Where can I buy this?
Target 🙂
Wish we had Target in Canada 🙁
check out http://www.Napoleonperdis.com i think you can buy them online.
sorry forgot to include http://www.npsetcosmetics.com
What a stunning color! *MUST!
OMG beautiful!!! Another lemming has been made!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow this is stunning! Does this brand have any other glosses with this same effect? I would like to see this in other colors. But this is beautiful!
Not sure, haven’t tried them yet!
<3
that is gorge! where was this to top off my MAC victorian lipstick this morning? WANT!
Where do you get NP Set? Its sooo pretty! Come on MAC!
Target!
Is this comparable in any way to the Cle de Peau #2 gloss?
It has the same cool sheen as Cle de Peau #2, but the color is a fair bit different.
Looks alot like MACs Nymphette
I love this! Is there a nail polish to match?
I’m not sure!
This color is beyond gorgeous!!!
This color looks amazing on you!!I’m definitly picking this one up.
It looks great on you Christine!
For some reason, I have a hard time spending $15 on a Target lipgloss — even though they have some great brands now. I may just have to branch out!
Is there a place I can possibly get this in Canada? (Absolutely gorgeous!)
I’m not sure 🙁
I’ve never heard of NP. this is stunning, though.
Oooh.
There’s a Napoleon Perdis counter at my local department store – I might just have to stop in and check this out! Though knowing my luck they even have it…
This is beautiful! My heart skipped a beat! 🙂
Ooh I’ve never tried anything by them, but it’s time now. The shimmer is so beautiful.
Colour: pretty.
Formula: …ew.
It obviously settles into the lip lines. I don’t think ANY of my lip glosses go that, and my lips aren’t in the best condition. I also think it’s too glittery for the shade and formula. Perhaps if it were a solid creme, I wouldn’t have gotten that instant “ewww” reaction :/
Lol, I seem to be the only one who thinks negatively about this gloss.
Um, whoa.
Whoa.
WHOA.
I would want it even more if it weren’t so reminiscent of MAC Nymphette, NARS Orgasm and Cle de Peau #2…hmm. Comparing your lip swatches of all four, though, I have to say that Mauritius actually impresses me the most! *drool*
Wow, you def. sold me. Literally, I just bought it! Its such a gorgeous color!
Gorgeous color!
I ran to Tarjee, quick, fast, and in a hurry for this color . . . and I love it!! I think it would flatter most skin tones (I’m a tan/brown girl) and because it’s a slightly creamy opaque it’s a great nude alternative with a hint of a peachy, rosey, gold shimmer color. No lip liner required, and it’s versatile enough for day or night. However because it’s at Target, it may be hard to find (I bought the last one in stock), the other colors weren’t too bad either. I think I’m lovin’ NP Set. Thanks Temptalia! once again for expanding our horizons and introducing lines we may not otherwise have given the time of day.
I’m glad you grabbed it! Did you pick up any of the others? Let me know if they’re equally awesome!
I didn’t pick up the other colors because they looked similar to a few Lancome juicy tube colors I already have, Marutitius I would have to say is the front-runner with it’s unique and opaque color. Hawaii and Island both look like clear shimmer on my pigmented lips, those two would prob look nice over lipstick, between the two I would pick Island. Mykonos (mauve), St. John (red), and Maldives (rose)are not my cup-o-tea, I prefer lighter color glosses. I do agree that $15 is a little high for Target, but the color and quality makes it worth the price, and yes it did last on my lips for a few hours.
Gotcha! Yeah, I think we have to try to not think of it as drugstore brands at Target but high-end coming to Target to make high-end more accessible, lol, but I totally get that feeling too.
it looks nice cute
Hi Christine, I know this is an old post, but perhaps you will see this: is it a dupe for MAC’s Soft Dazzle Dazzleglass Creme that came out with a recent collection? Do you know?
This has more of a melon-y look – not quite as plain as Soft Dazzle.
