The Spring Season: Lancome Rich Cashmere Lipstick
The Spring Season: Lancome Rich Cashmere Lipstick
Lancome Rich Cashmere L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick ($29.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a softened peachy nude with subtle gold shimmer. It has a very creamy, almost milky look when applied to lips. It’s nearly opaque in color, and the shade itself is definitely a nude for me. Paired with my warmer skin tone, it doesn’t make me look corpse-ish, which is something I definitely like. I find cooler nudes can often wash out my face, but shades like Rich Cashmere give me that sexy nude lip without making me look pale.
Is this the right nude lipstick for you? Would you wear it?
The Spring Season is a series of posts featuring my favorite soft beige, coral, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for the first blossom of spring — that runs through March 2010.

Lancome Rich Cashmere Lipstick
It looks like an old lancôme L/S that I have: vanilla.
Anyway, it’s gorgeous!
Hi Christine,
what lip liner would you recommend for this lipstick.
I’d go with a clear one like UD Ozone
thanks,will try that.
WHAT MAKE IS UD OZONE LIPLINER?
Urban Decay
one of my girly friends gave me this lipstick a few days ago….and OMG its soooooo freakn amazing!! Perfect dark nude color 🙂 I am pretty fair so this is a dark’ish nude for me but its just such a stunning color!!
I have this, and absolutely ADORE it! It’s one of the best nudes I’ve ever purchased, and I recall reading/hearing somewhere that it’s Lancome’s #1 selling nude shade.
It’s fabulous 🙂
i love that colour… pretty nude in my eye’s too.. when i go look in the store.. they do have numbers written on it… is it posible to add the number behind the name? so ill can trace them back in the store ?
thans
Hi Sapphire,
Unfortunately, I don’t have any numbers on my Lancome lipsticks – they always just list the name on the bottom! 🙁
thanks for the fast answer, but i also have the idea that the colours of lipstick are not even the same. i can not find this colour back on the european website as wel 🙁
but i love that lipcolour… 🙂
it looks gorgeous
I’m not a fan of “nudes” yet , but i thinking (seriously) of being a fan of them, i bought FRECKLETONE, i9s this similar or something???
about the texture, is better lancome or mac? does it worth the price??
This is kind of similar 🙂 They’re about the same to me, IMO.
This is a beautiful shade. I think it would be perfect for my skin tone because I’m pretty pale and this isn’t too light or dark. 🙂
I’ve been wanting this one for a long time. So pretty!
My skintone is simiiar to yours and I’ve been wondering about this particuliar lipstick. Looks like it might work, and I too have trouble with nudes, thanks for the review!
Pretty color but the scent/taste of L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick makes me nauseous! 🙁
It looks a litte bit sheer-glossy..I like creamy/satiny nudes. But the color is really really pretty.
What is the number for Rich Cashmere? I live in Dubai and none of the stores refer to the names, only the 3 digit number, and i can’t find it anywhere. Can anyone help?
Unfortunately, in the U.S., they don’t give us numbers at all.
How do you think this would look on a NC 35 skintone? It looks gorgeous on you!
I think it could work!
