Dramatic Smoky Eyes in Hot, Fuchsia Pink

Bright Makeup: Hot Pink Smoky Eyes

Go fierce or go home! Dark, sultry smoky eyes with a hot pink edge paired with equally in-your-face pink lips.

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Soft Ochre paint pot as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. With the 239 and water-based mixing medium (or water), apply Fuchsia pigment all over the lid area. Using the 239, apply Dollipop eyeshadow on the entire lower eyelid area. Darken the outer third of the lid with Bulletproof eyeshadow with the 226, gently brushing it into the outer crease. Lightly blend Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow, with the 226, in the crease. Lightly tap and brush Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow directly above the crease to soften. To finish the eyeshadow look, sweep Beautiful Iris eyeshadow as a highlighter on the brow bone and inner tearduct. Bring everything together by applying Lust eyeliner on the lower lash line and Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow lightly patted below the lower lash line with the 219 brush. Finish by applying Blacktrack fluidline to the upper lash line with the 208, and then sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Sculpt sculpting powder to the hollows of the cheeks to lightly contour and blend onto cheeks with the 168. To highlight, apply Shell pearl onto the cheekbones with the 165.

For lips, apply Petals & Peacocks lipstick first, and then layer True Babe lipglass for a complementing lip.

Oh…Em…Geee one of THE BEST looks I’ve ever seen on you!!! Gorgeous!!! If anything were to convince me to look into Sugarpill shadows, it’s this. I take it you like them??

Christine Avatar

Thanks a lot, Heather! 🙂

Sugarpill is SUPER vibrant. If you love color and brightness, definitely worth getting. The intensity of the colors is amazing — I have no hot pink like Dolliop in my collection. One of MUFE’s hot pinks is the closest, but it’s so sheer in comparison to Dollipop. They’re a little dusty as mattes often can be, but they’re very easy to work with and blend well.

oh wow! this is gorgeous! you did an AMAZING job on those eyes! you should be really proud of this one!

WOW… (haha! that’s all i keep saying!) this actually might be my favorite look from you so far! 🙂

Someone described shell pearls as a highlighter that gives a glow from within and I’d say that’s dead on!! The boy picked mine up because they were sold out here, so it’s sitting 4 hours away and I can’t get it until the end of April!

I gotta be sincere.
I like the idea of the look, but the “matteness” of the eye shadows… I don’t know, it looks as if the products were cheap. I’m not loving sugarpill shadows.
I think the results could have been better witth some MAC or Urban decay eye shadows on the same tones.

i clicked onto temptalia.com and all i saw was this crazy pink-and-purple filling up my screen. HAHA. Great look though Christine! very lovely 🙂

Berry cool!… Christine do you know a good dupe for prim and proper blush I love it so much, but ran out of money to get another one, please help thanks.

I wouldn’t wear anything like this, I’m not gutsy enough. But this look is AMAZING. like STUNNING. I have never seen anything like this! And I mean that in a good way!
The lip look really ties it together too!
This is like perfect runway eye.
Stunning, all I can do is stand in awe.

I agree I don’t think Sugar pill cosmetics are really that nice. There are companies with much much better products! makeup forever has some really bright shadows. That matte flat black from sugar pill looks really dirty! I love the lip!

min Avatar

Totally agree! There are so many swatches comparing sugarpill and mufe (also some with mac and other companies) and the swatches of sugarpill are almost always brighter and look nicer. Though to be honest.. I’m more of a fan of the loose eyeshadows.

Makeup is all about having fun, and I think that you’ve shown that with this look. It is pretty, vibrant, and fun. Very nice look!

As a side note, I can’t believe people bother posting comments that are negative and/or rude. It’s actually unbelievable to me. I don’t normally comment, but those comments were enough to motivate me.

I love it, and I think Sugarpill’s Dollipop looks amazing. I might have to pick it up. Keep up the good work.

This is so stunning, Christine! I wish you would do more looks like this. It reminds me of back in the day when I used to come on here to check out your amazing eotds. Great job!

besides bright fuschia pigment (not eye safe, like you said), another hot pink i like (although not matte) is too faced mess in a dress. just another option for those who don’t like sugarpill. love this look, btw, it’s very “me,” perhaps i’ll save it for my upcoming birthday….i’ll have to replace lust with ransom and beautiful iris with UD asphyxia. i need either stars and rockets or UD fishnet…..

marisa Avatar

definitely! i just know that not everyone is as adept at using loose shadows as you are! i just LOVE this look, though, definitely one of my favorites of yours!

Annie Avatar

Yum yum bubblegum, haha. I am ABSOLUTELY in love with this, yay!
However, you did forget to mention using Blacktrack Fluidline on your upper lash line in the instructions section, I believe. It’s pretty self-explanatory, though, you probably won’t have to worry about whether people understood what to do with Blacktrack, haha!

Roxanne Avatar

OH MY! Hot stuff comin’ through!
The third close-up picture looks so crisp and clean… I like. I bet you love the lip combo, don’t ya? 🙂

AnGeLwInGz Avatar

So cool! It’s good to know that there’s someone out there besides me who’s not afraid to wear hot pink and purple together.

Hannah Avatar

OMG YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
I love this look so much on you! Hot pink lips dont really work for me but I might experiment (again) with it 😀 A true inspiration…
Also your eyes are beautiful, they’re like leopard print and green and brown amazingness! Mine are just a boring flat dark brown colour :/

Kristin Avatar

i have a question on how you prep your lips. mine tend to be very dry on my upper lip line. i have tried scrubs and using a toner on the area after washing, but nothing seems to work. your lip line is flawless and this is my only problem, i get dry flakey skins on or around my whole lip line.

knownever Avatar

I’m going to have to check out Sugarpill shadows. Lately everytime I’ve seen a shade in one of your looks that really catches my eye it has been from Sugarpill! I love the bold lip and cheek contouring instead of blush.

SiaM Avatar

Your purple& pink combo is so Electric & Energetic,I definitely can’t stop staring at the gorgeous lips. It is amazing how you managed to coordinate the colors to wear strong eyes and lips. This is like my 4th time looking at the pictures,is really gorgeous, literally caught my eye!!!♥x♥x♥x♥x♥

Daria Avatar

I love this! Im really impressed how “clean” the lid is, and how its so vibrant and not totally blended with the crease ( my biggest problem!!!)

Marissa B Avatar

I’m in love!! Seriously, this look is amazing – I’m hoping I can pull it off myself. The eyes have me hooked, the mix of matte and shimmer is pefect – I only wish I had more excuses to do a sexy and dramatic look like this.

Looks like I may have to explore Sugarpill some more, this looks so fun!
