Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick: Gabrielle, Rouge Orage, Ballet Russe

A few more swatches of Rouge Coco! 🙂  That’s all I have currently!

  • Gabrielle is a bright blue-based red with a slightly glossy sheen. It reminded me of the glory that is Dragon Rouge Allure Laque, though not quite as glossy or bright, in a different texture!
  • Rouge Orage is a darkened reddish coral with a little bit of pink undertones.
  • Ballet Russe is a vamp-y wine-berry that’s dark but not ultra dark.

See photos & swatches!

Oh. My god. Ballet Russe is beautiful. I was already in love with it because of the name (ballet person here) but that’s the sort of lip color I’m in love with. *sigh* My wallet won’t be happy that I’m in love with a $30 lipstick.

I love Rouge Orage. Applied sheer, it’s a lovely wash of coral. Applied heavier, it makes for a lovely, soft “red” for people who are a bit afraid of a red lip. As for Ballet Russe–wow! That’s drop dead gorgeous on you. It definitely makes a statement.

sorry for the comment a YEAR later.. but i’m interested in the gabrielle! its blue based, meaning it is cool toned, correct? I am EXTREMELY fair.. i dont have a mac shade because I am too fair 🙁 however I do believe I am cool toned (I look better in pure white than off white.. that is a test right?:) )
do you think this would look b etter on me? or the lipstick dubonnet by mac???

Hi, I saw the Gabrielle swatch then I decide to buy it. But I don’t know why my Gabrielle is darker than your swatch :(. It ‘s not as beautiful as your swatch. I dont know why. May be because of the light condition? I still not wear it in direct sunlight.
