Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I got Tisse Smoky, will play it later this week, still testing other stuff. It swatched well in store, hoping it will hold up on my oily lids. Curious to see how your review goes

Between the 2 of us, we probably have enough makeup for a small town! LOL Speaking of more makeup….did you see the latest Ebates offer? 10% off Saks with promo code +10% cash back+ free shipping, so 20% off, expires 9/7. So if Tisse Smoky reviews well, you can get a $12 discount on it. But I find Saks shipping to be slow ( almost 2 weeks) and they only have 30 day return policy, so I have to test all their stuff as soon as I get it, but I can return in store. And hey, if it’s 20% off, I can’t complain too much

True on the makeup and we would save so much $ by sharing. We should start a business like they do with HE bag borrowing with HE makeup, lol. I did not see that code. And you are AWESOME for telling me about it. The closest Saks for me is 45 min or so. I’d probably mail return. But, that’s not an issue. I need to start looking for those Saks promos more apparently. Thanks again!

If you sign up for Ebates and Mr. Rebate emails, they send emails all the time, and it seems like Saks has the best deals and the most often. In last 2 months, I’ve probably received 3 offers of 15-30% off from Saks incl cash back. If you buy, shipping is free using code FREESHIP, but if you return by mail, they give you a prepaid shipping label, and will deduct the shipping cost from your return. For a 4-shadow quad, the return shipping cost was about $9.50. But I don’t know if it’s a flat $9.50 regardless of weight, or if it depends on the weight of your returns. But I just returned it in store, since there’s a store near me, but something to keep in mind if you have to do a 45 min drive. Anyways, hope this helps.

Thanks Katherine! I hate paying for shipping and returns. So, is probably try to get to the store when I was going thru that area or make sure it’s something I really want to keep.

Katherine, just curious as to how you’re able to return used (tested) makeup to Saks. Reading the fine print of their return policy, it says that items must be returned in “saleable” condition. This policy has stopped me from buying any makeup from Saks at all, so if I’ve been misinterpreting the policy all this time, I’d sure like to know! 🙂

Katherine T. Avatar

Yes, it does say “saleable” condition, but I think it’s kind of vague. I think they put that word in there, to ensure people don’t abuse the system, like someone uses up 50% of the lipstick, then tries to return it for full refund. I bought an eye shadow kit online that didn’t work out. I showed up in the Saks store to return it, the saleslady did ask me if I had used it, and I told her only a few times but the shadows faded on me (true), and she took my return with the original receipt. In the USA, almost all major retailers have generous return policies (even the drugstores will accept returns on used makeup), and if Saks decided not to do the same, they won’t be able to stay in business. But if you’re worried about not being able to return something, maybe check with Saks to get clarification on the policy.

While this is another easy skip from me, I just love how well-edited and special Chanel collections always seem. They do a great job of making themselves seem worth the luxury price.

Oh my, Chanel can kill it with their ad campaigns. But, their last collection was so hit and miss. I don’t like blues on myself to much. I totally have been salivating over Tisse Smoky since I first saw this ad. I hope it reviews well and the plus is that it is permanent! The lip look on the model is amazing. I sure would love to know how they pulled that off.

Pretty, but too “dupeable” for the price. I have a ton of dark blues to choose from, as they are a favorite of mine with my fair skin & dark eyes.

Nancy T Avatar

If I had dark eyes, like brown or a browner version of hazel, I would be all over this collection! But, with my wacky eye color, these cooler, icier blues and grays just don’t work well for me. The closest I can get away with are Slanted and Dagger in my UD Naked Smoky.

I tried the Fortissimo nail polish in store and it was gorgeous. I have not bought it but I might. I tried the eyeshadows on my hand and they did not look particularly powerful in color. It did not look as blue as it does on the woman in the photo anyway.

Arianna Avatar

I like the colors from a simple aesthetic point of view, but I can’t quite grasp the point of this collection.. Chanel have a lovely fall collection which been advertised for quite some time now, and that all set out to cover this time of year.. and that has nothing to do with this cool shade selection and overall vibe.. so what is this?..
