Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme ($8.99 for 0.21 fl. oz.) is a new, limited edition liquid lipstick available now both at drugstores (I got mine at Walgreens) as well as through Milani directly. Testing these soon, hopefully, but here’s a look at swatches!

Yet more matte liquid lipsticks? And yet another company not available in the UK. Pretty colour range though – I think I’d be into trying out Romance and especially Beloved if I could.

Yay I’m glad you got these new lippies! Thank you for the swatches! I was wondering if some of them were had too much of a white base, but they look okay… I like Lust, Beloved, and Embraced!

I got two of these and found the formula to not be very beginner friendly, very liquidy and a long dry down time. I got it all over myself whenever I tried to use them so I returned them. Interested to see your reviews!

Beloved and Desire look amazing! I am very interested in reading your reviews of these, because less expensive, but still good quality alternatives are always a bonus!

How is Milani more expensive than colourpop? I always think of them as the cheapest product in the store. Ugh, I like some of these but I guess I’m just gonna have to break down and do a colourpop order. I’m really loving Lust and Romance.

Milani has drastically increased their prices over the last few years. I think once they started gaining popularity, due to social media, Milani felt justified in raising prices. Also, Colour Pop is online-only, so they’re able to keep prices down. Shipping product to retailers can add up, but shipping directly, they can charge the consumer directly.

Not sure why but these pulled way darker on me than in the swatches.. I have light/medium skin and not too pigmented lips too. Lust is a deep mauve, Beloved is more like Crush, and Crush was very dark and vampy.. I actually returned that one it was so dark… the husband actually commented (whoa, that’s… different), and he’s pretty oblivious to my makeup.
They perform really well, and look great on the lips (no weird flaking or streaking) but were very drying on me.. and I wear long wear, liquid, and matte lippies almost exclusively so I have a pretty high tolerance. Quite uncomfortable after a few hours, found myself reaching for chapstick to take the “edge” off.

Excited to read your review! I have picked up five of these: Lust, Beloved, Desire, Romance and Embrace. So far I’m pretty impressed! They are a bit unforgiving if you apply outside the lines (so to speak) but I imagine that might be true for most liquid lipsticks. I felt like I haven’t had problems applying them, and I’m a liquid lippy newbie. For a matte finish, they don’t seem to be super drying. Hopefully Milani decides to make these permanent!

Gaah, I want these so bad! But the walgreens in my area doesn’t carry Milani anymore and their website only has two colors left in stock. I hope they restock the other colors at some point, or maybe bring them back in permanent form sometime in the future.

Someone else mentioned this, but these look WAY darker on me with the exception of Adore. I have Adore, Lust, Embrace, Romance, and Crush, and Lust pulls way more mauvey on me. Embrace has a lot more berry in it on my skin tone. Romance is a medium dark, almost vampy red and Crush is an extreeeemely dark brown (also not at all patchy and it looks a little patchy here). Usually I can make a decent comparison from my skin tone (though it’s quite a bit lighter) to yours because we have similar warm undertones, but this was really strikingly different to me! Just putting it out there for all my pale girls out there. I really do enjoy the formula of these though, even with the patchiness of Embrace and Romance. They wear great and don’t really dry my lips all that much. I was particularly impressed with Crush and Adore, because those colors tend to patch and they really didn’t on me whatsoever, which is awesome. Hopefully Milani will make these permanent and expand the line. Excited to see what ou think of them Christine!

Matte liquid lipsticks are really in trend right now or what!
Lust is sooooo pretty, it’s the type of colour I want to look at all day. Doesn’t bring up feelings of lust for me or anything though, lol. More like just peaceful calm beauty.

Yes! The local CVS actually had a full display of these which is so rare! I grabbed Adore, Lust, Beloved, Desire, Romance, and Flirt. I had to take Flirt back because the application was so patchy and uneven, which is a shame because the tube color is beautiful. The others are great though, and wear like champs!
