His line looks really luxurious! I would love to try a few things from his line but I live in a smaller Canadian city and I can’t get it. Unless I order from Nordstrom and pay huge duty taxes. Sucks because I love having a few very luxurious things in my collection.

Shelley I feel your pain!! I live in a small town 2 hours away from Toronto; anytime I’m headed that way I have purposely made everyone stop while I run into Holt Renfrew’s to grab some of his products. They are well worth it!

Michele Avatar

No. Just no. Christine, you’re going to have to do a lot of convincing to make me change my first impression of this collection! (You have changed my mind on collections before…) I typically love Tom Ford collections but frankly, when I think the model looks terrible I pretty much assume there’s no hope for me. My first thought when seeing the pic was that the model fell into a pile of sparkly mud. I’m guessing that’s why she’s also got the hostile glare going on. Yikes!

Brian Avatar

Pretty much my thoughts as well. She looks very powdery and that contour is so blotchy… I’m surprised this is what they’re using to sell their cosmetics.

Follow-up thought – I just received an email from Giorgio Armani Beauty. Apparently they have come out with a compact foundation (modeled after their wildly popular luminous silk liquid foundation). Same number of shades as TF but with a lower price point ($62). Similarly, the TF complexion primers follow on the heels of the GA Fluid Sheer and the longer-standing Tilbury Wonder Glow. Christine, do you think we’re seeing a trend that other lines will follow?

I just finished my studio fix powder and am in the market for a new pressed powder. This looks gooooooooooooooooooodddd! Certainly not groundbreaking, but there is no such thing as too many staples!

Powder foundations don’t work for me. But, I am for so getting the highlighter and I’m glad to see the primer is permanent. Do.they give a guide for skin tones on that one? Or would you have any guess Christine? Also, any idea when the color is releasing? I received my Fall eye cream yesterday. I’m pretty anxious to know when it’s coming out. They always do just that..quiet,hush,hush..than bamn..fork over a ton of $ if you want this gorgeous stuff that’s going away! Haha..gotta love it..well no I don’t love that part.

Nicole Avatar

Yes, the primers is what I was referring to. Okay, sounds good. I will be waiting until they go to Neiman’s anyway. The SA from there that sends me stuff sad they were like the current primer TF has but with the slight tint help color correct and brighten I suppose is what she was getting at.I guess peach would be best for our skin tone do you think? If you review that will be great! 🙂

Not into powder foundations, but hope they review well for $80, shades look limited. I have yellow undertones, so not into peach or pink primers. The illuminating duo looks interesting but for $80, it’s going to have to take 5-10 yrs off my face for me to buy

There are new eyeshadows coming out in the color collection–a new cream eyeshadow and some new Eye & Cheek Shadow Ombres (powders that can be worn on eyes and cheeks). There are also a couple brow sculpting kits and some new lipstick shades.

Like many of you, I’m not won over by the model’s appearance, but take heart, the new foundation, primers, and highlighter are only a portion of TF’s new offerings. There is also a color collection (and hopefully a more inspiring model) that will be coming out. It includes lipsticks, eye/cheek powders, a cream eyeshadow, and brow sculpting kits. Pictures and swatches are gradually emerging online.

Uh-uh. Based on this model’s mega b*tch-wax attitude conveyed here, instead of a “come hither, try, buy, be a golden goddess”, it gets a big “Nah” from me. I mean, she looks like she’s about to take someone OUT! For $74-80, and TF at that? I expect better.

Rachel R. Avatar

That duo is really gorgeous. I wan the model’s lipstick. I love the cool gold on top of her bronzed skin. It’s not a look I could ever accomplish, but it’s stunning.

Elena Avatar

This is the most stunning image for a colour-story in aaaaaaaages. Dreamy, unique, captivating! Yet I’m not compelled to buy anything TF. I should dig up MAC’s Gel to see if it’s going to turn me into Daphne on the poster.

Jill Avatar

At first, I thought “Nah” but after reading about the offerings on several sites, I think I need the highlighter duo– before it runs out, like everything else Tom Ford. Wow. They have some great handbags on their site too, at 2500$ a pop, yikes!
