Really unique eyeshadows that are outstandingly pigmented and go on effortlessly like butter. Few brands carry eyeshadows like that (Urban Decay, Make Up Forever, Ardency Inn etc.) so its nice to see another brand giving eyeshadows their full potential instead of coming out with halfassed ones that are chalky and barely show up on the skin, which I feel like I see too often.

When the colors are really different from the usual offerings, but not TOO crazy though! I have a weakness for a really great red (or red-coral) or a darker, more complex nudish lip, but I’m also game for purplish lippys too! And then there’s eyeshadows….and I probably have far too many as it is, but they keep pulling me back in. Facial highlighters definitely have my attention too.

To have it be a pop culture collaboration. Disney is a good example of that. If it has the disney logo on it then I’m sure to get suckered in.

* Be by a brand that already piques my interest. I’m more likely to not scroll past something I recognize than a newcomer.
* Contain matte lipsticks that are in wearable colors for a conservative office environment.
* Sleek and simple packaging. I really don’t like many MAC LE collections because of the packaging.
* Cool designs on the powder products. Roses always make me do a double take, and I also love simple patterns like in the MAC Lightness of Being collection.

Coral lipsticks and blushes, and nice neutral eye shadows. I used to be really drawn to greens, but I’m now wearing neutrals full time.

Coral is weakness though, it is really flattering on me and I can’t pass up a nice coral. That is why I tend to love spring collections so much.

Packaging first. If the packaging doesn’t catch my eye, I probably won’t bother even looking to see what kind of colors are included unless something is getting rave reviews. If the packaging is amazing, I’ll try really hard to like at least one piece enough to get it.

If it’s a brand I’m already into, I’ll be checking it out anyway, so it doesn’t matter.

If I hear there are products that use only “clean” ingredients, I want to take a look. The new CoverFX contour kits have me anticipating my next trip to Sephora!

If a brand is collaborating with someone I’ve actually heard of, and not just someone who posts OOTD’s on social media, or some obscure clothing designer…

If the promo pics have a model that is of similar coloring and/or encompasses my personal aesthetic. Tan, blonde models wearing bright coral lipstick will not do anything for me…

Rose blushes with shimmer, nude eyeshadows—mattes, golds n greens shades together. I love lipsticks..rose, reds, watermelon colors. Pretty or unusual packaging catches my eye, but its what’s inside that counts.

sadly the packaging will lure me in first but i always wait for reviews before I jump unless i have to have that special packaging. i tend to like complete collections because its less work for me to figure out what goes with that 😀

Satiny eyeshadows in shades of blue and/or green – with a lovely taupe. Or a graduated set of greys with a variety of finishes.
No pinks, purples, blacks or whites.
A lipstick in coppery tones, marsala colours and peachy blushes.
Great quality for a reasonable price too.

The perfect blue pink blush that’s not too light, too dark, too strong or too bright. Fuchsia lips tweaking purplish. Soft eyes that are natural but feminine. Flawless skin. Beautiful, luxury packaging. Any of these things will draw me like a bee to honey.

A model wearing “the look” for the collection in magazines, on the store display, on the brand website.

And reading Temptalia reviews with all the great photos!

Quality, a nice mix of red and pink shades (lipsticks/glosses), and sleek packaging that won’t make me feel like an overgrown child if I take the items out in public.
