New for the collection are Impeccable Brow Pencils. The new brow pencil is available in four shades, and the names do correspond to what probably fits the majority. I’m more of a brow powder kind of girl, having used MAC Espresso Eyeshadow for about six years now, as my go-to for brows. I like this, but I don’t love it. For those who want more definition, pencil is definitely a better option than shadow. I would still suggest using a fluffier brush like the 266 or a clean mascara wand to brush through brows for a softer, more natural look.

Impeccable Brow Pencil ($15.00 U.S. / $18.00 CDN)

  • Blonde is a honeyed light-medium brown.
  • Dirty Blonde is a neutral to cool-toned light medium brown.
  • Taupe is a slightly cool-toned light espresso brown.
  • Black is a brown-black. This is the darkest shade of the bunch, but it doesn’t read super, ultra black — though it is still dark and obviously pretty close to black!

I completely agree with you. I didn’t realize you were an espresso e/s lover as well. I can’t even remember how long it’s been since I’ve used this on my brows. Yup, so I will definitely use Taupe on the sparse ends of my brows for definition and continue with espresso/#266 brush for the fuller parts of my brows.

I’m really confused. I love MAC’s current automatic eye brow pencils so at the moment there’s nothing drawing me towards these. Is there a difference? :-S

I’ve been looking at my brows in the mirror and have no idea what colour would be appropriate for mine. I think maybe Taupe. My brows are very dark but not black, nor brown. Very annoying 🙁

a lot of eyebrow pencils look too dark/orangey, but this taupe looks like my perfect shade. i like eyebrow pencils because they last so long, you just have to feather it on.

omg I just bought the brow pencil in taupe. Its the best brow pencil ever. It makes you eyebrows look very natural and not drawn on like Anastasia brow pencil. I’m going to go back tomorrow and buy another one. I wished this were in mac’s permanent line.

It seems like there needs to be a color in between taupe and black. I have dark brown eyebrows, and none of these shades would work for me 🙁

My hair is raven black but I’ve never done anything to my eyebrows so I’m not sure if I should get this black or the MAC Eye Brows mechanical pencil which is a more true black. Which one do you think I should get?

I just bought two of the MAC impeccable brow pencils today. Even though I am asian, the dirty blonde works with me during daytime and the taupe is perfect on my eyebrows on both night and day! =)For asian women, I think taupe is the perfect shade. On me, it looks like my real eyebrows..I swear! =)
