Burberry Gold & Oxblood Iconic Colour Nail Polish Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Burberry Gold No. 447 Iconic Colour Nail Polish
Burberry Gold No. 447 Iconic Colour Nail Polish ($22.00 for 0.27 fl. oz.) is a muted, yellowed beige with warm undertones and faint gold pearl shimmer. It was mostly opaque after two coats, and it wasn’t too thick or too thin to work with. This one bubbled slightly on me (and I tried applying it twice, just to be sure), unfortunately, so that was a real disappointment. Zoya Taylor (P, $9.00) has no shimmer. Cult Nails Mazo (DC, $12.00) is warmer, sheerer. L’Oreal The Statement Piece (LE, $6.99) is more glittery. Zoya Tomoko (P, $9.00) is more glittery. Guerlain Altoum (LE, $25.00) is metallic. China Glaze Fast Track (LE, $7.50) is darker. Zoya Cho (P, $9.00) is a cream. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Burberry Oxblood No. 303 Iconic Colour Nail Polish ($22.00 for 0.27 fl. oz.) is a deep, reddish burgundy cream. It’s fully opaque after two coats and dries to a high-shine finish (no need for a top coat, unless you want it for sustained wear/shine). The consistency was on the thinner side, so I recommend being generous for applying each coat or else use a good base coat to smooth out the natural nail. This shade is part of the permanent range, but it will be in the standard packaging. NARS Chinatown (P, $20.00) is brighter. MAC Vintage Vamp (P, $16.00) is similar. Deborah Lippmann Single Ladies (LE, $19.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

I love the look of the Gold. I can wear this color the whole year, srsly. Thanks for sharing! 😀
No prob, Laarni! 🙂
Love how your nails look shorter. Love Oxblood too, but then that is so typical from me…
Thanks!
Wow! I must admit I thought they were tiny lippies at first, but wow! This is iconic Burberry plaid with the oxblood stripe! Classic! I’m not a nail polish wearer but if I was, I’d totally snatch these! Classic! 😀
They’re nearly the same size, lol! In the boxes, I was like, “I thought there were only two lipsticks…” and then two were polishes, haha. I do like that they’re $22 vs a $30+ price tag, even if it is less product (about 1/3 less, so it is priced accordingly) since I can’t imagine finishing a bottle of polish!
Haha! I’m glad I wasn’t the only to think that! How odd for a nail Polish to be the same size! 🙂 For the price point you mentioned, I think you make an excellent point! The only nail polishes I ever went through were the special top coats I would find for special effects! But I must say that the Oxblood is a flattering polish on you! And I still think putting these two out is a classy move. Make your own plaid! 😀
Love the Oxblood red nail polish….now THAT’s what I consider Oxblood, a dark burgundy red. Too bad the lipstick is a berry, and the lipgloss is a fuschia. So strange they don’t match each other….. if the lipstick and lipgloss were like the nail polish, my wallet would be empty!! Hahahaha
It’s like it looks oxblood in the tube, but not so much applied!
Oxblood is sooooooo perfect for this time of year, and it looks really elegant.
Glad ya liked it!
I like that oxblood shade for nails. I like that it’s not too dark!
I liked how it was still red but not bright!
These are kind of “meh” to me. Pass
Oxblood seems super dupable!
I was surprised by how ‘opaque nude’ the gold looks! A bit more novel than oxblood, but they’re both very elegant shades. 😉
True – Gold isn’t like anything else I have really!
I love them both! They’re such beautiful colors
Yay!
I don’t have anything that looks like the gold one, and I own a lot of nail polish! It looks very fresh, and not conventionally holiday-isn, which I love.
Gold definitely seemed more unique!
At that price point, bubbling is inexcusable! Too bad, because I like the color.
I was really surprised! I so rarely have issues with bubbling, and whenever I do, I always start over and try a second time, lol!
Oxblood is so pretty but it reminds me of OPI Malaga Wine which I already have.
I’m really digging the gold side of this release much more than the red! So classic and elegant 🙂
Both colors are just gorgeous and I also like much more your nails shorter, like they’re now, they look so much better 🙂
