5 Copper & Brown Blushes for Fall

When I think about blushes for fall, my mind goes to plum and coppers/browns, which today’s post features. Any recommendations?

  1. Becca Papaya/Topaz — a shimmering, copper brown
  2. MAC Sweet as Cocoa — a rich, reddish brown
  3. Kevyn Aucoin Natura — a medium-dark warm brown
  4. Burberry Earthy — a medium, neutral-warm brown with a satin-matte finish
  5. NYX Taupe — a cool-toned, taupe

I have NYX Taupe and was disappointed in it because it turned out looking dark purple/bruised when blended. I recently bought Burberry Earthy and I love it except for the scent. I’d like to try the KA one next. I’ve been on a brown blush kick lately!!

I love brownish blushes! and I need NYX Taupe. I’ll have to pull out Burberry earthy..I haven’t worn it lately. I definitely tend to wear more neutral brownish blushes in fall/winter when I am either wearing a darker more dramatic eye or more intense lips. I like to keep my cheek look streamlined..just enough to give a bit of shape. On the negative side, getting the right tone is important because I’ve seen some brown blushes look really muddy.

These are all nice, but I am loving that top shade from Becca. I don’t wear brown blush often, but I like that this has some coral tones to it. Plus the swirled colors look pretty in the pan. Usually if I go brown, I wear something more like 3 & 4. Taupe I only use for contouring.

I don’t have any brown toned blushes. I like the look of Sweet as Cocoa. I think I’ll try it when A Novel Romance comes our way. I daren’t go by a MAC counter just to look, so I think I’ll just go when I know what to get, making all the more spontanious purchases less frequent.
