5 Plum Blushes for Fall

Though we’ve been knee-deep in fall color collections since July, now that we’re nearing September, the idea of fall doesn’t seem so far away. Here are a few of my favorite plum blushes. I’d love to hear yours!

  1. theBalm Cabana Boy — a medium-dark, cool-toned plum
  2. MAC Plum Foolery — a shimmery, medium-dark plum
  3. NARS Oasis — a gold-shimmered, medium-dark plum
  4. NARS Dolva Vita — a bolder, reddish plum
  5. bareMinerals The Indecent Proposal — a soft, satiny warm plum

I looove NARS Oasis, but I have to be extra careful, and use additional products (ie, bronzer, warmer foundation), or I look completely sun-/wind-burned… I want to try Dolce Vita, though!

I'm totally in a plum/purple blush quest mode at the moment, so I'm loving this! I think maybe Oasis or Cabana Boy are probably the depth/shade I'm looking for from this selection, although I'm still angling for Makeup Geek Rendezvous (I think that's the most 'plum' one in their line ?- and I want to try that line!:-D)

I don’t think I have any plum blushes. Must investigate, if I don’t I feel the need for Plum Foolery or Oasis.
I find these 5x so inspirational!

My favorite plum shade is Dolce Vita. I bought my Mom Plum Foolery as part of her Mothers Day makeup haul. I also own Mac’s Ambering Rose which is pretty, but slightly too shimmery. I’m trying to find a matte blush to minimize the shimmer a little.

Oooh, it’s nice to see some pretty plums that aren’t too dark or muddy. I’ve had an awful time in the past finding plums that work on me. As in none. I’ll definitely be checking these out. Cabana Boy looks promising. Gorgeous choices, Christine!

My favourite plum blush is MAC Breezy. I think I’m going to have to practice a bit with Indecent Proposal because I own it but can only sometimes get it right as a blush (as a contour it’s a half success). I had Dolce Vita, but I ended up swapping it away after one too many clown cheeks episodes. It is really lovely, but I probably need a less pigmented version. Is there a Dolce Vita ‘lite’ you could recommend Christine?

I still really want to get Oasis even though every time I swatch it the sparkle puts me off. I think I just like the name…

I love theBalm Cabana Boy, Chanel Fantasia, Paula Dorf Sweet Cheeks, MAC Breath of Plum, MAC Plum Foolery and MAC Flirt and Tease!

My go-to for fall is MAC Breath of Plum with a tiny bit of Plum Foolery on top. It gives a nice color and sheen without too much shimmer.

I’ve got 2 of your 5, Christine – Plum Foolery and Cabana Boy! I love plum coloured blushes – they’re one of the shades that works best with my skin tone. I’d add Clinique Plum Pop and MAC Conjure Up (LE from quite a few years ago but still as beautiful as ever!)
