What’s Swatch Saturday? I can’t always review products with full, in-depth reviews, but sometimes, I can at least give you photos and swatches, and then also provide a link to dupes and comparisons for those interested! This also helps us to build up our Swatch Gallery and add even more entries to The Dupe List, which can be helpful to readers at any point.

Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I really really like Nehru, I might get it soon.

And as pretty as the velvet finish ones look, they’re really difficult to handle. I have beauty marked, and it’s gorgeous to look at but, I rarely get the red glitter onto the brush.

Ooo… I like all of these except Black Tied, especially Nehru!

Why is it so difficult to make black eyeshadows with glitter in them that are pigmented and don’t instantly lose all their glitter when you take some out of the pan? I think the only ones that’ve ever impressed me in that respect are Chanel Mirifique and Miss Sparkles from the Too Faced Pretty Rebel palette – and I couldn’t afford to get either when I had the chance, dammit! 😛

I can’t use eyeliner, whether pencil or liquid (thank you allergies), so I use Typographic with a dry angled brush for liner. I don’t like stark black, so it makes the perfect liner for me–dark but not harsh.

The only one of these I own is Black Tied, and I don’t think I ever realized how bad the quality was until I saw your swatch haha. But that being said, I hardly ever use black eye shadow.

Nehru? Like the first Prime Minister of India? Okaaaaay…yeah, I know he popularized a style of jacket, but it wasn’t a particular color. LOL, MAC, what?
