I loved this palette and used it daily for years. It had a shadow called “lap dance” that was magical. The formula changed after they switched from the boxy cardboard box to the metal container and it wasn’t the same. So this is a rating for the OG Boudoir Eyes, if you can find it.

This was my fave eyeshadow palette, and then I lost it while traveling. So I re-created the selection of colors in a MAC custom palette, with the following eyeshadow shades: Top row: Vanilla, Malt, Embark Middle row: Grain, Era, Charcoal Brown Bottom row: Orb, Quarry, Typographic These are all matte shades but that suits me better than Too-Faced's shimmers.

I love this collection of 9 mostly neutral-ish shadows that range in undertone from neutral to cool. Several variations of taupe/pewter and a variety of finishes from matte to glitter. I also love that this is in a metal tin, unlike most of Too Faced's 9 shadow palettes, which are housed in cardboard. Some of the shades in this palette are a bit on the sheerer/less pigmented side but that is easily remedied using a coloured base of some sort (a Paint Pot or Sephora's Jumbo Pencils, to name just 2 options I use). It's a great palette to travel with because you can do a variety of looks for different situations from daytime/sightseeing to work meetings to an exotic night out.
