So…. I use a green cc to counteract the redness in my skin, and which of these do that??
Neutralize seems like it would be the closest!
yeah, I’m really surprised that a line dedicated to color correcting wouldn’t include a green. Very strange.
Well actually green and yellow are close enough to each other on the color wheel so that yellow counteracts red problems very well. And it blends in to a persons skintone much better than green, because a person has much more yellow tones in the skin (it looks more like skincolor) than green does…unless you are Maleficent…which I dont think u are 🙂
Highly interested in the tubed version of this product.
Wow they are tempting really 🙂 loved the whole collection
I feel like MAC is trying to fool us. Weren´t the liquid ones so called “Fortified Skin Enhancers”?
It´s as if today you can repackage everything and sell it better under the BB or CC label.
They are the same size and the same price, so at least we won’t be losing in that aspect :(, but I feel like they would be just like the fortified skin enhancers with a new name.
The new creams have an SPF of 30 in them unlike the other skin enhancers
I agree with you. The liquid/cream CC primer is the fortified skin enhancer. I already have the one in adjust. Same thing new name and probably a new higher price.
I have Prep + Prime Skin (the thing won’t finish!!) and I used to have MAC – Prep + Prime Eye which I finished. I’m still not sure if Skin actually does anything but the Eye one was good for my dark circles. It hid some discolouration, covered up some lines and it’s consistency was so much better than bobbi brown concealer. I will definitely be interested to see what you make of these.
I’m hoping that the Prep + Prime CC Colour Correcting Loose is a nice setting powder that are translucent on the skin. 😉
I love the promo picture. Does anyone have any idea what the Asain model is wearing on her eyes and lips. I think I need them.
My thoughts exactly! I wonder if MAC can answer this for us…
If you ask a Mac artist after they attend update, it’ll be listed in the back of the update book under “displayer images”
I got intouch with Mac and they said they have no promo info available until after its released! Never heard of that before!
It almost looks to me like both models are wearing the loose powders in lavender and apricot as eyeshadows, which makes these seem very interesting to me, especially if they have dual uses! 🙂
I wish skin like the models have on that campaign shot was realistic… And that I’d have it.
🙂
Me too 😀 !!
RIGHT?! Any time people ask what type of skin I have I say “crappy”. Lol. Combo with active acne and scars. Isn’t it great?! UGH!
This seems like an interesting collection. And I’m glad MAC is bringing out some new stuff besides eye shadows and lipsticks.
I’m interested in the loose powder. I wonder how well it will control for shine and blur imperfections. I would like to see a review of this as I am in the market for a loose powder and have my eye on the new one from UD as well.
I don’t usually get OCD about makeup, but that first picture with the spilled powder all over everything is kind of freaking me out. I just really want to go after it with a dust buster…
Did you know what products the models wear on their faces? I love their makeup for the ad!! Kisses!!
I am definitely interested in the yellow-neutral powder…I hope it’s good for oily-combination skins, and it’s awesome that there’s SPF 30 in there!
I know this is an old grumble, but why must they insist on advertising ‘correcting/concealing’ products with pictures of models who have just had all texture and colour airbrushed out of their faces?
It’s like the mascara ads that use falsies – you’re not actually showing what the product *does*, you’re just showing an ideal not obtainable unless you actually use prosthetics. Not the product at hand.
I realise the products themselves might be quite good. But if they are, why not just show that instead?
Yes, basically all makeup ads are photoshopped to within an inch of their lives, but with concealers I feel it’s particularly deceptive. At least with colour cosmetics like eyeshadow you usually stand a *chance* of being able to achieve a similar look to the ad…
My thoughts exactly! Was just thinking of that a few seconds before I read your comment.
I’m not too interested in the products themselves but I love the promotional picture. Both models look stunning.
Could be interested in the tube product if that SPF is physical and not chemical!
That yellow powder seriously freaks me out. Is that weird?
Yes. Yellow is used a lot in terms of makeup.
Hmm yes, dont freak out, Bobbi Brown has said that very few faces are not being flattered with a yellow-toned foundation.
Well I believe that but I avoid yellow like hell, it just doesnt suit me.
What I meant is that particular shade of yellow. It looks extremely yellow. I do know color theory and I do have yellow toned powders that I really like but that yellow looks almost neon.
I wonder if the yellow would be a dupe for Ben Nye’s banana powder. Interested to see how these are.
If that is the case, a compact would be nice to have 🙂
Ooh if that is the case then maybe the loose powder would be a great dupe… Interested in buying now. 🙂
I received the loose powders to try in Recharge and Illuminate. The texture is similar to a loose silica-based powder. The effect is subtle with the loose powders, but I do notice a difference in my skin’s appearance using these powders versus other setting powders.
Very keen to try these out, especially the purple. My skin is so yellow toned, that ALL pink blushes (even Nar’s Gaiety) turn orange on me, so i need something purple underneath to counteract that, currently using Mac’s Full of Joy blush, but hoping these will be better!
Woah! I bought NARS Gaiety for the same reason, and it STILL turned orange on me as well! A lavender/lilac blush is surprisingly hard to find. Gaiety was the coolest toned blush I could find that wasn’t limited edition and over $30.
I’m really sick of corals/peaches that supposedly suit our warmer skin.
I actually had to double check that i really did buy gaiety and not something else as soon as i put it on and it lookedPEACH. dammit! try Full of Joy if you can get your hands on it, it helps on the days i can be bothered to layer two blushes.
im sick of peach blushes, especially as i love warm browns on the eyes paired with cool pink lips/cheeks 🙁
SAME HERE!!! I must try the lavendar! I’m really hoping to cut some of that orangey tone. My skin just loved to oxidize makeup! Lol. I’m going to buy my compact tonight! I am obsessed with pressed powders so I am so glad they brought this product out in so many formulas. There is really something for everyone! 🙂 Hope people are having good luck with this product so far 🙂
Hi Christine,
I’m interested in checking this out! Thank you for all the mac updates on collections etc. You really are amazing! Do you think the Adjust shade would suit my NC 30 skin tone?
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
🙂
I have no idea! Haven’t seen it!
These are the same as ‘fortified skin enhancers’ which came out before CC creams.
They’ve been renamed to sit be more recognised in the market as ‘fortified skin enhancer’ doesn’t mean much to anyone, where are CC makes more sense.
If you love prep and prime powders you’ll love these.
I’m wondering which is much better.. the prep and prime colour correct compact powder or the loose powder?
