Zoya Brigitte, Normani, & Odette Nail Lacquers Reviews, Photos, Swatches

Zoya Brigitte Nail Lacquer
Zoya Brigitte Nail Lacquer

Zoya Brigitte Nail Lacquer ($9.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “bombshell mauve cream.” It’s a soft, muted pink with warm undertones and a cream finish. It was fully opaque after two coats, and the texture was slightly thick but fairly easy to apply. MAC Midsummer’s Dream (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Chanel Morning Rose (LE, $27.00) is warmer, pinker. Rescue Beauty Lounge Plie (LE, $20.00) is lighter. Zoya Pandora (P, $8.00) is shimmery, less pink. See comparison swatches.

Normani Nail Lacquer ($9.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “sable mauve cream.” It’s a smoky, purple-tinged taupe with a cream finish. It was fully opaque after two coats. The consistency was just a bit on the thicker side, but it didn’t impact the application. Formula X Perfection (P, $12.50) is very similar. Rescue Beauty Lounge Be Humble (LE, $20.00) is lighter. Cult Nails Let’s Get Dirty (P, $12.00) is also a lot lighter. Zoya Jana (P, $8.00) is darker. See comparison swatches.

Odette Nail Lacquer ($9.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “orchid maroon cream.” It’s a pinky-mauve with a warm undertone and cream finish. It was opaque after two coats, and the consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin, so it was easy to work with. I don’t have anything quite like this that I could recall from past reviews–I pulled two of the “closest” shades, but I wouldn’t call them dupes at all. Cult Nails Love at First Sight (P, $12.00) is more lavender, less pink. Zoya Kieko (P, $8.00) is much darker, purpler. See comparison swatches.

I typically get a week of wear out of Zoya’s formula with minor tip wear and no chipping.

I picked up Brigette and Odette during the recent promotion and I absolutely love them. I’m wearing Brigette now and wore Odette the day my order arrived…both apply with ease but I didn’t notice them being thick at all (at least not on first use but I do notice that several of my Zoya polishes tend to thicken after initial use. Not to the point that they are difficult to apply but they do get thicker). I want to go back and get the other colors from this collection (I also got Rue during the promotion but haven’t used it yet). I’m trying to be good though…I have a ton of polishes from the Black Friday Dream Box promotion that I haven’t used yet so I really don’t NEED any more right now.

Hey Christine, how similar is Brigette to Essie’s Eternal Optimist? I really love that color, but I don’t need it if it’s super similar.

Zoya Odette is a really interesting color. I don’t have anything like it in my collection. I was just gonna place an order for exactly these three shades but now looking at the swatches, Brigitte and Normani are similar to shades I already have so would only be interested in Odette. The others in the collection I don’t think would suit my skintone. However a Zoya order just came in today so will wait a bit till I place a new one lol.

Zoya’s color range is really pretty and these 3 (or at least 1 of them) should be a staple in everyone’s beauty essentials. Zoya also lasts really long, they’re very hardy. Just make sure you also use the Zoya topcoat. I recently used it with Seche Vite as topcoat, oh man! It only lasted a day! It seems Zoya and SV are not compatible with each other.

At the moment I’m using the Seche Base coat and I like it. I’ve used Orly too and didn’t have problems. China Glaze base coat was the one that did not work at all for me and another Sally Hansen though I don’t remember the name of it.

I think Normani might be the purply color they used for the nail polish in the intro of Pretty Little Liars, if anyone’s interested 🙂

Oh, man! I just picked up Normani, and now I’m wishing I would’ve picked up Brigette and Odette, too! Gorgeous shades, especially for spring. I might need to place another order soon. Christine, you are wonderful, but so bad for my wallet! 🙂
