Editor's Review

Jilted Lipstick ($22.00) is described as a "deep fuchsia shimmer with blue shift." It's a vibrant, brightened fuchsia-red with iridescent shimmer and a soft sheen. The consistency is thinner than other shades in the range, and it had mostly opaque color coverage, but there was a very, very subtle translucency that gave this shade a stain-like appearance. It lasted for six and a half hours well and left behind a stain for another two hours. Givenchy Fuchsia Irresistible is cooler-toned, less red. Guerlain Girly has less shimmer. NARS 413 BLKR is more matte. NARS Jardin des Plantes is lighter. Guerlain Gigi is lighter, less shimmery. Guerlain Champs-Elysees is pinker. OCC Queen is less shimmery. See comparison swatches.

My first UD Revolution lipstick was Venom, but I decided I wanted to get another one that's just a bit lighter. This lipstick reminds me a lot of "Cherries in the Snow" by Revlon, a color I used to wear all the time. However, Jilted is even better because of the purple shimmer in it. I can't get enough of the shimmer! It captures great in certain lighting and photos. Gorgeous, fun color. Long-lasting as well. Only needs touch-ups if you eat a large meal.

I bought "Jilted" today (08/16/13) at the Ulta at Deptford, NJ, after experimenting with many colors on my hand. I am very pale, with coppery colored hair and blue eyes, so I need to be mindful of works for me. I wanted a punchy color, but not too much. I put it on at 3PM, and by 8PM, it was still there, without bleeding, fading or transferring to my teeth. I am so happy that I went with "Jilted". I love it!!! I wonder which will be my next color to buy....
