T3 Featherweight Luxe Hair Dryer Photos & Quick Review
T3 Featherweight Luxe Hair Dryer
T3 Featherweight Luxe Hair Dryer ($220.00 regularly, $149.60 today) is available in pink, purple, silver, and black. So last year, I posted about a pink Featherweight 2Â a lot of readers were interested, but it sold out relatively quickly. It’s QVC’s TSV, and it is the slightly higher end model of the T3 Featherweight, which has cooling, high/low, and three heat settings, priced at $149.60 for today only. The new colors (all but the black) are QVC-exclusive until October 2013.
I fell in love with T3’s Featherweight blow dryer all the way back in 2008Â (I encourage you to read my original review), and my original T3 is still blowing (that’s five years!). For me, it was a life-changing product, because it takes my hair from soaking wet to barely damp within a few minutes, and I can get to dry (and I have a LOT of hair) right now in about seven minutes (my hair is particularly long right now). Â I used this one last night, and I still achieved my typical–phenomenal–results that I always have with the T3.

Oh man – that’s a lot for a hair dryer, but I think I have to try it – worst case scenario, I return it! I’m so fed up with my hair now that it’s long, drying takes forever and it’s still soooo frizzy. I’m going to get a keratin treatment next week, maybe that plus a new hair dryer means I’ll finally be happy with my hair!
(I’ve been using the same cheap Conair hair dryer for the last 10 years – never thought there was any difference between dryers!) Of course I’m ordering the pink one. =)
Hey Vicki!
It’s definitely worth trying, and yep, if you don’t love it, return it! Hair dryers have come a LONG way in the past years. I used to NEVER blow dry because it would take forever!
It’s a great deal, but I’m hesitant to buy one since Folica says that this model is discontinued by T3. They now have the luxe 2i and the featherweight 2.
I feel like T3 changes models very frequently, and having seen four or five, I can’t really tell the difference in all honesty – other than when the controls themselves are different but quality/application, not so much.
Good to know. Thanks 😉
Yikes, expensive hair dryer! I don’t think I’d get much use out of a hair dryer this expensive. I usually let my hair air dry, and I use my hair dryer maybe once or twice a week, and often not even at all.
Oh, definitely not necessary if you rarely blow dry your hair!
It’s such a good deal on QVC, especially with their handy little payment plan. I still have my Featherweight from college– it’s over 6 years old now! It just keep chugging along– like yours, Christine. 🙂
Six years! That’s awesome!!
I’m not supposed to be spending money rightnow, but I just had to get this. Oh well, I’ve been wanting one for awhile, and it’s pink!
I hope you love it, Andrea! 😀
if they had a mint or blue one…. and if i didn’t already have a sedu lightweight……. oh well 🙂
Good for your wallet at least 😉
That’s funny that your T3 still works. I purchased one in April of 2009 and by July it was broken. I had to return it to sephora. It was phenomenal when it worked. I bought another T3 dryer in 2011, and it has broken, but the results weren’t as good as the ones I got with the 2009 model.
Wow! I’m totally surprised and sad to hear it, Xina! I gave one to my mom three or four years ago (I think that’s how long it’s been), and hers is still working as well. I have no idea what the warranty length on it, but I’m glad you were able to return the one that broke in 2009 at least!
Like Amanda & Christine,
my original T3 is still amazing!
Yes it’s an investment but so worth it!
A~~x
Happy to hear you love yours, too, Adonna!
My Mom bought this today from QVC in purple. I’m totally clueless about hair dryers. I’m holding out and hoping they return to QVC at the end of the year for the holiday season.
Yayy!! Hopefully you can try hers in the meanwhile!
A good friend of mine (who has the good fortune to have inherited a ton of money) bought this for me for Xmas a few years ago and I love it. I still have to flat iron my hair but if I take my time with this dryer, I can almost get away without the flat iron. What has always amazed me is how this dryer dries so much more quickly and yet without a whole lot of blowing of my hair or burning heat. I was always skeptical about the claims but now I can vouch for it (though if this one broke, I’m not sure that I’d replace it since most of the time, I let my hair dry naturally and then flat iron it)
Aww, what a great friend 🙂
It now says QVC regular price is $181, and sale price is $164(+$10.22 s/h). Not such a great deal after shipping. I’ll hold off until I find a better deal!
Hey Erin!
Yeah – the special was one day only, unfortunately!
I bought a T3 dryer (not this one of course) and found it super hot! Like yikes fry my hair hot. I returned it.
Monica
Oh no!
thank you for the info, looks really good, but I prefer my karmin g3 hair dryer, it’s really good for drying the hair too. 😀
Any thoughts on a good travel hairdryer? Specifically one which would work well via converter or adapter in Europe? I’ve always had issues with high wattage hair dryers abroad and now have a short haircut necessitating blowouts and upcoming trip to italy. Thanks!
I haven’t traveled abroad with one, so I’m not sure about that. I use the travel-sized T3 myself for trips, but I usually don’t bother bringing one.
