Edward Bess Filled with Desire Blush Extraordinaire ($43.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “pale pink.” It’s a lightened pink with subtle warm undertones and a satiny sheen. MAC Stay Pretty is darker. MAC Rosy Outlook is slightly warmer. MAC Launch Away is a smidgen lighter. MAC Easy Manner is warmer. Illamasqua Naked Rose is darker. Chanel Blush Horizon de Chanel is darker. Burberry Misty is a touch warmer. See comparison swatches.

Filled with Desire is a shade that is best for fair complexions, as the color in the pan is about what you get when swatched, which is just a lighter shade that won’t show up well on darker skin tones. The texture was soft, finely-milled, but it was somewhat powdery to the touch. Once applied and blended into the skin, I didn’t notice any powderiness on the skin, and the blush had a very subtle sheen that was luminous but not frosted. This shade lasted eight hours well on my skin and looked slightly faded after nine hours of wear.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Somehow the packaging reminds me strongly of Chanel’s, but I have to admit that it’s a gorgeous packaging; portable & sleek. I agree with Kelly! The swatch of the blush does appear chalky but looks flawless upon application. 🙂
