Chanel Lilis (647) Le Vernis Nail Colour Review, Photos, Swatches
Chanel Lilis (647) Le Vernis Nail Colour
Chanel Lilis (647) Le Vernis Nail Colour ($27.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is described as an “intense coral.” It’s a brightened, medium-dark orange-coral with a cream finish–but it almost has a squishy quality to it that makes me wonder if it’s a jelly-cream hybrid. MAC Vivid Effect is redder. MAC Ablaze is brighter, darker, and redder. Chanel Holiday is more orange. NARS Lal Mirchi is also more orange. Becca Tangerine Dream is a little lighter. MAC Oriele Orange is slightly more orange.
It was opaque in two coats, and it dried down to a naturally shiny finish. The consistency was great; really well-balanced so it applied beautifully and easily without streaking, bubbling, or pooling along the edges. This was my favorite shade of the three for summer, because the application was outstanding–and this is how a $27 polish should apply and look. Chanel’s formula wears a week with minor tip wear but no chipping in my experience.

Absolutely perfect summer color–I love this!! 😀
I love this color.. but it looks a bit similar to Jaffa from Butter London. Jaffa might be a bit darker.
It is SO pretty! This might be my favorite item out of the whole collection 🙂
That is beautiful!! Do you have a topcoat over it – or is that the finish on it’s own?
No top coat or base coat!
This is a nice coral polish (it looks to me to be less orange than Holiday as you say, but way more orange that Distraction), but I’m slightly underwhelmed. Why couldn’t they do something like Bel-Argus in coral? I recently bought Starlet (from the Avant-Premiere collection, that I don’t think you reviewed) and it’s a super complex, slightly matte coral, with very, very fine gold shimmer, and it’s so, so amazing (even though it doesn’t translate as well to the nails), that Lilis sort of looks almost bland by comparison.
Pretty polish, but out of the three of this collection, I think this is the easiest to dupe.
I love the shiny finish on this. The color’s perfect for summer.
OMG I love this polish-both it’s color and it’s jelly like finish, now if I could just afford to buy it! anyone know of a much cheaper dupe? Thanks,
Christine, how does this compare to Cult Nails Scandalous?
So gorgeous!! Glad to hear it applied perfectly as well.
I have a lot of corals and this one looks unique to me. There is something different and I can’t quite put my finger on what. I don’t think this would be an easy dupe. I will pick this one up. I really like it.
This is going to be a must-have for me!
