9 x ColourPop Sol Eyeshadow Palette Look Ideas
ColourPop Sol 9-Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($12.00 for 0.36 oz.) is the brand’s newest release for summer that features nine vibrant, warm-toned hues across matte and shimmery finishes. There were a few looks to be created out of the palette on its own, though one will likely want to grab a few deeper, darker shades as well as a complementing brow bone/highlight shade. I did feel like it was repetitive, though, with technically different looks when it came to shades used by the end result as more same-y than I’d like.
About This Series
Each look idea is centered around a “quad” of four shades with the expectation that one might bring in the appropriate brow bone or additional transitional shade based on skin tone. I know that I tend to use more like five or six shades in a typical look, but I think that four is a happy medium to give a good idea of the “core” color scheme of a look while giving you the ability to lighten/darken as desired. I have listed the colors in this order: inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease.
You might see combinations that seem slightly repeated but placement will vary (e.g. a halo placement where the lightest and more shimmery shade is placed on the center) as placement can also create a different effect/look! You might also want to consider incorporating your favorite matte/shimmer shades (as applicable) to increase the versatility of certain palettes. Consider these ideas a jumping off point!

I am still very undecided on whether this is a palette I need. Definitely love the more unique shades within it, but I do have Yes, Please, ABH MR, MAC Red Brick, Rule and Bamboo, Brown Script and Folie, too. Even Sugarpill’s Feline Fancy, which has a very glowy bright red eyeshadow!
Not one of those colors look good on me!
As so many of the shades are similar to each other, it must have been tricky coming up with different combinations to get different eye looks. Well done Christine!
Nice combos. I have all these colors scattered throughout my collections — should really give these a try.
