5 Must-Have Burberry Beauty Products

Continuing on with our look at brand must-haves, here are my top five favorite formulas from Burberry! It’s fairly well-edited brand, so they have only a few formulas, a lot of classic, basic shades, and their powders have an exceptionally soft, silky feel while lipsticks wear well and feel great on lips.  And if you’re a long-time reader, you’ll know that Burberry Trench is my go-to brow highlighter!

  1. Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow — though often not sheer at all, the eyeshadows are soft, silky, and ultra-flattering on the skin; favorite shades include Trench, Pale Barley, Almond, Taupe Brown
  2. Burberry Lip Velvet — a long-wearing, comfortable-to-wear matte lipstick; favorite shades include Rose Pink, Bright Poppy, Pink Amber
  3. Burberry Lip Glow — medium-coverage, shimmery, high-shine gloss that’s hydrating; favorite shades include Cameo Pink, Coral, Brick Red
  4. Burberry Light Glow Natural Blush — insanely silky texture with rich color payoff; favorite shades include Blossom, Earthy, Coral Pink, Tangerine
  5. Burberry Lip Cover — lightly luminous, richly pigmented lipstick that’s hydrating, comfortable, and wears well; favorite shades include Bright Plum,

What are your favorite Burberry products/shades?

They’re eyeshadows are my favorite formula. Granted I haven’t tried Tom Ford but I’m much happier with my Burberry Mocha palette and Almond single eyeshadow than I was with a bunch of nude palettes and mac shadows. I’d rather have fewer shadows of really good quality than a bunch of colors of low quality and Burberry has definitely delivered for me. After getting the Mocha palette I see why you like Trench so much! The opaque beige highlight is so much better and more natural than any of the more shimmery white type highlights I owned and thought were the “norm” or what you were supposed to use.

I also really love the blushes, I have Earthy and Tangerine. I’m NC15 and use Earthy as either a contour or a blush and Tangerine is one of the most flattering, natural looking blushes on me.

Overall I’m really happy and look forward to getting more eyeshadows and would like to try the lipcover in cameopink. I really wish the line was available in more stores though so I could try products on my skin instead of just stalking reviews and hoping for the best. Though luckily I haven’t been disappointed yet.

On my wishlist are the Blossom blush; pale barley, rosewood, trench and lavender blue eyeshadows (with midnight and taupe brown on the more distant wishlist); as well as the cameo pink lipcover.

I’m so thrilled that you’re enjoying your Burberry purchases, Sasha! It took me a few years, but I definitely agree that a high quality, well-edited stash is the way to go – whether that’s all pricey products or a mix – but products that you’re as excited to use the 10th time as you were the first 🙂

I’ve been dying to get Pale Barley since it came out. However, I recently picked up Patina from MAC and now can’t decide if I need both. Decisions, decisions!

I can’t speak to the other products, but I have three lip covers and find the taste/smell so off putting as to render them unusable. Has anyone else experienced this? They are genuine and fresh products so I was pretty floored by how disgusting their odor/ taste is. I am also not easily put off by a products scent so this was a total “What the what?!” Especially considering the price point.

My super-early Christmas gift this year was Burberry’s “Sepia Pink” lip cover, and it turns out to be perfection on ultra-pale (MAC NC .. 3 or so? maybe?), neutral-undertone skin. Not so light that it makes me look ghostly, not so dark that it makes me look clownish, and just saturated enough with colour to really brighten and *pop*.

Other essentials, no particular order:

1) Sheer Luminous Fluid Foundation, Trench 01 (almost too dark for me, but not quite, and *amazing* on my combo/leaning dry skin).

2) Sheer Summer Glow Natural Highlighting Compact. For bronzing. For contouring (used sparingly). Even as a very sweet, glowy blush.

3) Rosewood lip gloss. A perfectly-neutral dusty rose on my highly pigmented lips.

4) Light Glow Blush: Peony. Used very cautiously – just a touch of the brush to its surface, and a quick loosening tap afterwards – it lends a wash of luminous, pefect rose to my cheeks.

I just recently discovered Burberry Cosmetics and i’m satisfied.

I bought the Lip cover Oxblood ( i’m in love with it!) that i intend to get more shades.

Has anyone tried the fresh glow nude radiance luminous highlighting powder? I like it so much that i use it everyday since i bought it. It covers the tiny lines around my eyes and lips. Great coverage!

I also like their luminous fluid base. I never thought i’d spend so much on makeups but i’m glad i did. I’m liking burberry cosmetics ( not to mention their elegant packaging!). 🙂

Burberry definitely has some of my favorite packaging (though it holds fingerprints). Everything FEELS luxe – heavy, interesting, fits the Burberry aesthetic… just feels like you get what you pay for. One of my peeves with Chanel & Dior is that most of it is in plastic, and they’re all the same price point!

I agree! I used to just use dior and chanel lipsticks but now i like burberry more. It is def. worth the money. I am interested on their eyeshadows but i still have so many unused palettes from other brands. Haha.

I ‘ve got many Burberry products, which I absolutely love!! My favourites are:
1)Lip Cover No.26 Nude Cashmere….goes with everything and anything!
2)Natural Bronzer No.02 Copper Glow…absolutely amazing…there aren’t enough words to describe how much I love this product!
3)Natural Blush No.05 Blossom…I laso want to try Earthy but I’m not sure it will show up on my skin…great quality, though…
4)Natural Lip Gloss No.20 Pink Sweet Pea…Burberry glosses are the only ones I can stand on my lips…I have only this one, but it is by far the most comfortable lip gloss I’ve tried….!
5)Sheer Eye Shadow No.02 Trench…recently hit pan…’nuf said!!

on a different note, I have to say that the product which disappointed me was the Eye Palette No.07 Pink Taupe…I loved the colours so much but they are more muted than I expected and the quality is not as good as the single eyeshadows…I do use it, but not as much I wanted to…

I love Burberry eyeshadows. So silky smooth and easy to apply and blend. Pale Barley, Rosewood and Mulberry are my favorites 😀 I like the formula of their blushes a lot as well, but unfortunately I just can’t handle the scent, a couple of hours after application it’s “hey there, migraine!”.

tzwiggy Avatar

I tried that with my Guerlain powders after you suggested it when I complained about that fragrance, but I didn’t feel like it helped that much. I only left it open for three days (was a bit worried about dust and other nasties getting in there, lol). I might try it for a bit longer, like two weeks?

My favorite Burberry blush is Earthy. My favorite Burberry eyeshadow is Khaki (recently back in stock). In fact, Khaki is my favorite eyeshadow of all my many eyeshadows. I have a backup :).
Not that I will ever need it….you get a lot in the pan.

I have been desperately trying to find Pale Barley but since they were bought out by Shiseido, it has been out of stock everywhere. 🙁 Do you happen to know a restocking date or at least a dupe for it to tide me over? I would appreciate it!

In my early 20s, I had a thing for Burberry Brit perfume. It was just luxury to me. I also enjoy Burberry The Beat. It’s just such an English brand, with the trench coats, the tartan and the knight logo. I have Burberry eyeglasses, and the arms have the tartan. The case is tartan, too. And a tiny Prorsum logo is in the metal centre of the nose pads.

It’s so funny, I just know I’ve been reading this site for so long that as soon as I read this, I thought “Christine has a thing for Burberry Trench eyeshadow. It’s one of her staples” and sure enough, you write that you have two backups.
