5 Decadent Highlighters for Spring
When it comes to highlighters that illuminate and add a glowing sheen to the skin without emphasizing pores, I’m obsessed. Every year, there are so many fabulous limited edition highlighters that get released, but thankfully, there are also some excellent permanent options that I never tire of. Here are some of my favorites!
- Cle de Peau Delicate Pink — a soft, shimmering pink-beige
- Burberry Nude Radiance No. 01 — a sheer, liquid luminizer
- Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight — a warm, golden beige sheen
- Becca Moonstone — a shimmery, golden champagne
- Kevyn Aucoin Starlight — a shimmery, warm peach
Thanks for sharing your favourites, I can imagine especially #4 fits good to me.

Glad that one would work for you! 🙂
I’ve been wanting 1 of these for awhile but i how do i pick one. Lol
narrowed it down to burberry or kevyn candlelight. right now my skin is really dry, any suggestions?
Burberry liquid might be a good bet for dry skin! 🙂
I really am wanting that Cle de peau! Is it possible to have it without buying the $40 case? Does it come in some sort of reusable case?
It comes in a plastic sleeve, so it’s not a particularly durable way to store it if you want to travel, but if you have a drawer, you could certainly contain it in such. There are a lot of freestyle palettes nowadays, so I store my pans in a Z-palette 🙂
I just saw in the full review the plastic sleeve you referred to. That would work for a drawer. I was going to look at getting a few different sized Z palettes any way. It is a beautiful case. But, $40 is crazy! I could get another product for that! Thanks! 🙂
Right?! I can’t pay $40 for a case, lol.
All of them are so pretty! Nice picks
Thank you!
During the holidays, I tried the Burberry Golden Radiance No. 2 luminizer which is the darker equivalent to your Burberry choice. I’m in the NC50 range. The Burberry luminizer is subtle and beautiful. I didn’t purchase it – I strictly followed my shopping list that day (lol). Hopefully it’s permanent. Kevyn’s highlighters are awesome too.
Ooh, nice to hear! Will have to look for that 🙂 I always love when there’s a good product for darker skin tones.
christine, have you tried burberry’s fresh glow powder highlighter? very curious about your thoughts on it!
I don’t think so! I tried the powder highlighter from the holidays, though.
Starlight looks lovely.
So in love with Starlight!!
Pretty!
They are!
Anything with the slightest pink/peach undertones tends to be too pink/red for a highlighter on me, anything you’d recommend with very yellow undertones? Becca moonstone might be the closest to what I’m looking for, but I don’t think it’s available in the UK.
Becca actually has a very yellow one, too, that you might prefer. Cle de Peau also has a Gold that runs yellow 🙂
I have Becca Moonstone & Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight, and while I love them both, I rarely wear them as both contain mineral oil… The highlighter I reach for most is WnW Reserve Your Cabana, or Prestige Skin Loving Minerals Sunbaked Mineral Bronzing Powder. Both are under $10, and are talc-free, paraben-free, and petroleum-free, which just proves it can be done without an obscene pricetag! I have larger pores, and neither emphasize them, and both are glowy without sparkles/glitter.
Glad you found ones you like!
Nice picks! With my lighter, cooler skintone (MAC 15W/20W), I’d probably go for Cle de Peau in Pastel. I like the color of Benefit’s High Beam. Now if I could just find that shade in a good quality highlighting powder!
Pastel would work well!
I reeeeally want the Becca one.
It is divine!
I love a good highlighter! Liquid is my favourite. I love the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl and the Rouge Bunny Rouge Seas of Illumination in Sea of Tranquillity. Both are just gorgeous. I have others that I love too but not as much as the two I mentioned. 🙂
I always want to try more RBR!
I second the Burberry Fresh Glow Nude Radiance! It really adds that “fresh glow” to the face! 🙂
How do you like to apply it?
Love these colours – they are so, so delicate and beautiful.
Aren’t they? 😀
Oh wow, Delicate Pink has such an amazing pan design.
It does!
One of these days I’m going to splurge on a Becca skin perfector or shimmer souffle.
You should 😀
I received my Starlight today itself and can’t thank enough for your helpful reviews 🙂
am sooooo glad I decided to pick it up ….
it is so wowww ….
you think moonstone would be good on my NC 40 skin tone ?
5 ways is my absolute favourite feature 🙂
So glad you grabbed Starlight and are loving it, Rashmi! 😀
You might prefer the Rose Gold on NC40!
Ahh, highlighters – something I know woefully little about, but always like looking at swatches and reviews of, LOL! I like the look of the Cle de Peau and Kevyn Aucoin ones… (both the ones here and the lines in general).
Both brands know how to make a great highlighter!
Christine, I wondered if you had any suggestions for those who look best in cool tones?
Cle de Peau Delicate Pink or Pastel would be nice!
I keep telling myself that I’m going to get the Kevyn Aucoin Starlight powder. It’s so gorgeous!
It would be lovely on you!
Yassssssssssssssssss!!! Oh, why no Sunday Love post? <3 🙂
Honestly, I haven’t had any spare time in the last three months. I pretty much just eat and sleep outside of blogging (and I’m still really, really behind on everything – I wish I could do better).
