5 Beautiful Blushes for Spring
Soft, flushed cheeks with a hint of luminous sheen — that just says spring to me! Here are five of my current favorites for the spring season…
- Clinique Plum Pop (04) — cool-toned, plummy pink with a satin finish
- Chanel Revelation (63) — light-medium, warm-toned pink with a satin finish
- theBalm Down Boy — a soft, cool-toned pink with a satin finish
- Burberry Blossom — a softly shimmered coral-orange
- Hourglass Radiant Magenta — a light-medium, warm pink with a satin finish
DROOLING. Give them all to me.
Haha 😉
MAC Dainty for a light pink flush, and MAC Born to Love or MAC Gleeful when I’m in the mood for colour.
Dainty is a nice shade!
One that I’ve discovered not too long ago is Korres Natural, which I think is discontinued. 🙁
So sad 🙁 I love that shade, too.
Were you ever able to find a similar shade? I haven’t yet because it’s the perfect mix of brown and peach, and there’s no shimmer. Too many other shades are too coral/peach and are too shimmery.
Burberry Earthy is probably the closest I’ve come to, but it’s not as dark.
I found out about a month ago that all the amazing Korres blushes (including Natural) is still available on korres.com. If you know someone in any of the European countries that they ship to, this might be the right time get a backup.
I love satin blushes! Thx for the post Christine!
No prob, Melinda! xo
Oh my! All of these are so pretty & scream spring to me. My favorite spring blush is probably Benefit’s Coralista or MAC Pink Swoon.
Coralista is a lovely pick! Pink Swoon is so old school, lol! I remember that from years back.
I’m loving plum pop! I may have to get peach or ginger to go with it.
I fully endorse that plan 😉
Now to pick which. It was pretty obvious that the plum one was a better choice than the berry for me, but the other two are too close and I’m just not sure.
If you want something more muted but darker, Ginger Pop. Peach Pop if you want something lighter/brighter.
Thanks! I think probably peach.
I’ve only started wearing blush in the last year or so, and have been playing around with different ones, but I have a feeling NARS Douceur & Madly will be getting a lot of use this Spring! Maybelline Master High-Light in Pink Rose is also quickly becoming a favorite, but the finish is definitely not a satin, although not a shimmer.
Maybe a pearly finish? Somewhere between satin and frost?
Pearly is probably the best word to describe it, although it does have the tiniest bit of micro-sparkle. It’ funny, but when I was younger, I preferred a simple, matte blush for the rare occasion I wore it, but now that I’m getting older, I like a nice sheen/glow. It seems most women my age stay away from anything not matte, but I find it makes my skin look lifeless.
If it ever gets warm again (it’s 12F here today), I think I will be breaking out ALL OF THE BRONZER to celebrate the end of winter. At this point, I wouldn’t mind it being one of those years where spring kind of instantly turns to summer.
So blush, maybe something subtler in color like Milani Luminoso?
BRRRRR!
Rrrrrrrrevelation, oh my… 🙂
So pretty, right?
Don’t mind me, I’ll just be making off like a rogue with the first three on that list!
*escapes into the darkness with loot*
😀
Haha! 😉
These are all so, so pretty! I love soft peachy, pink and coral shades for spring! Some of my absolute favorites are Tarte Tipsy, Benefit Dandelion, MAC Well Dressed, Burberry Blossom, Pout Blossom Belle and Tom Ford Flush (bright, but still spring-y).
I wish Dandelion showed up on me! So pretty on everyone else!
I really want the Hourglass blush! It looks amazing!
It has a nice finish!
I wear either Benefit Hervana (hit pan last year) or MAC Subtle Breeze throughout spring and early summer. I want to try Clinique’s new blushes but they still haven’t hit the counters near me…
Wow! Hitting pan on one of Benefit’s Box o’ Powders is impressive!
I love Mac Subtle Breeze, it’s such a pretty color for spring. But I’ve been thinking about getting thebalm’s Down Boy for a while. Christine, do you think it would look okay on light medium olive skin? I’m worried it might be too cool.
I don’t think it’ll be too cool 🙂
All so pretty and I need them ALL!
They’re very lovely! xo
Loving the look of that Plum Pop! I still haven’t even had a chance to see these blushes in-store yet. I have Down Boy (actually, I have 3 of them but that’s a long story) and never wear it. I think I’ll give it an outing tomorrow! I think my favourites for Spring are probably MAC Her Blooming Cheek (LE) and Bobbi Brown Pale Pink.
Wow, three of them! At least this post got to you to wear it again 😉
Well, 2 are in the 2 Balmbini palettes I bought (the original one) and the full sized one was free – they were giving them away with TheBalm purchases! Otherwise, I’d probably only have one (I don’t buy backups of blushes as I use them soooo slowly – I’m still trying to finish up the Desert Rose blush I got more than 10 years ago and which was my first MAC blush! It simply refuses to DIE!)
Even when I had just one blush to my name and used it nearly every day, it took FOREVER to hit pan. Like over a year. I never finished it, for the record, as soon I started buying other blushes, LOL!
I am opting for Chanel Intonation, Clinique Berry Pop and Hourglass Radiant Magenta a lot these days!!!!
All great shades!
And the best blush goes to …*drumroll* Clinique Plum Pop!
It was hard not to put all four on the list 😉
Cute quip on the Balm “but so little time…” So many cheek colors, but……
Nice selection, Christine.
I hear ya. Need more cheeks!
I’m really on a low buy beauty products but the Clinique blushes are calling me name…lol! My favorite Spring blushes are NARS Torrid and Sleek’s Aruba.
Aruba makes me think of warmer weather for sure!
Beautiful picks! Radiant Magenta is on my wishlist for sure! xo
Hope you get a chance to try it, Jen!
My favorites are:
Becca Mineral Blush in Damselfly
Chanel Le Blush Creme in Intonation
Chanel Joues Contraste in Rose Petale
Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Ginger Pop
Tom Ford Cheek Color in Frantic Pink
Beautiful picks, Precious! Damselfly is so pretty.
These are lovely! So fresh. I think i will be picking up a Clinique Pop Blush this spring. They look beautiful.
Those are still my favorite so far this year!
I really like Chanel’s Fleur de Lotus for a touch of warmth. My skintone usually doesn’t “darken” to an NC/W15 until late April or May, so it makes a nice contrast against my wintery NW10 complexion. I also really love Bobbi Brown Nude Pink year round, but it’s especially nice for those gentler, more subtle spring looks.
I can totally see why Nude Pink is a go-to for you!
TheBalm’s Down Boy is surprisingly one of my all time favorite blushes. It really perks up my face. I love it.
I definitely want to get Hourglass’ Radiant Magenta. It’s just gorgeous.
If you like Down Boy, I think Radiant Magenta will be beautiful on you!
I shouldn’t have read this post because now I want it all! I only had the Clinique one on my wishlist, but the Burberry blush and of course, the Hourglass blushes, I will be broke before spring even starts!
I know — this is a hard set to resist!
I am such a sucker for powder that looks like the Hourglass one. It could be the most basic of colors but the unique colors in pan draw me in. I need to step away from blushes 😀
I’m with you, Ann. Blush is a weakness…
