30 x ColourPop Eyeshadow Quad Ideas
With the addition of 24 new shades to the ColourPop Pressed Powder Shadow family, I thought now would be a good time to refresh ideas on possible “quads” of shades featuring currently available eyeshadows (hopefully I caught any that were discontinued!).
About This Series
Each look idea is centered around a “quad” of four shades with the expectation that one might bring in the appropriate brow bone or additional transitional shade based on skin tone. I know that I tend to use more like five or six shades in a typical look, but I think that four is a happy medium to give a good idea of the “core” color scheme of a look while giving you the ability to lighten/darken as desired. I have listed the colors in this order: inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease.
You might see combinations that seem slightly repeated but placement will vary (e.g. a halo placement where the lightest and more shimmery shade is placed on the center) as placement can also create a different effect/look! You might also want to consider incorporating your favorite matte/shimmer shades (as applicable) to increase the versatility of certain palettes. Consider these ideas a jumping off point!

You are a genius Christine. These are fabulous combinations – my favourites are: A Kiss of Olives, Twinkle in the Sky and Evening Stroll. I like the names you have chosen for the combinations as well. Very inspiring.
I’m definitely inspired to try something like the Star Tracks color combo! A few others, too. But that one sure could be fun! So now I see 3 must-have shades: Mr. (Enter) Sandman, Antimatter and Martian.
Christine, is there a chance that at some point (maybe after the Holiday release stuff is behind you) you might do one of these “inspiration/ideas” for the new Tarte Pro Remix palette (you reviewed it several weeks back but it’s finally available and I picked it up this past week). I’d love to see some of your pairings to move me out of my typical “rut”.
Duly noted! I am bringing back that type of post (had to drop for time – it takes longer than you think to do one!), but I don’t know if I’ll get to that one!
Oh, I hope you do get to do this one. I was so elated when I first saw it here and then was left hanging because Tarte was so cagey about when it would be in store. I figured you were pretty crazy busy with all the Holiday stuff that has been coming along like some out of control high speed train but I’ll keep my fingers crossed that this palette might end up on your radar again (maybe others here have it too and would add their voices to my request).
Your eyeshadow quad ideas are always so much fun. Thank you! 🙂
Always such fun and inspiration. Quite a few new faves in this lot.
Keeping this on hand for the next BYOP sale! Great ideas!
I always love your ideas so much and they make me want to buy a gazillion colourpop shadows! haha
Into the sunset and Desert Waves are my favorite! You really put some great work in here! Thank you!
I think I’ll take youridea of Duochrome Desires and tweak it a bit : I just splurged into Come and Get It so I’ll build around this one 😀
I love this!! I got all of the new Colourpop shadows, and I always struggle so much with pairing colors.
Although, I wish there was a way to save my favorite color combinations!
The greens in this collection are great. Ugh really want to put together a fake Colourpop order cart now D:
I’m not sure which I like more- your color combos or the names you give them.
Loooove these, especially the earth-toned quads which are giving me 70s vibes. CP should totally collab with you to curate a few 9- or 6-pan palettes! I feel like smaller palettes with a narrower, more unique color story are the most inspirational and the route that companies should take in 2019.
