12 x Melt Cosmetics Gemini Eyeshadow Palette Look Ideas
Melt Cosmetics Gemini 10-Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($58.00 for 0.66 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette featuring shades of brown and green with eight mattes and two shimmers. I think this palette has some looks to be made, but my personal experience was that it would be more versatile if I brought in some of my other favorite shades (particular some shimmers and lighter shades). Though I’ve included the shade Gemini in the color combos, I found it to be quite poor in performance that if I actually recreated any of these, I’d likely reach for one of the other million copper eyeshadows I have! Otherwise, try patting it over a glitter adhesive or using a shade like Lorelei under it to help improve the opacity.
About This Series
Each look idea is centered around a “quad” of four shades with the expectation that one might bring in the appropriate brow bone or additional transitional shade based on skin tone. I know that I tend to use more like five or six shades in a typical look, but I think that four is a happy medium to give a good idea of the “core” color scheme of a look while giving you the ability to lighten/darken as desired. I have listed the colors in this order: inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease.
You might see combinations that seem slightly repeated but placement will vary (e.g. a halo placement where the lightest and more shimmery shade is placed on the center) as placement can also create a different effect/look! You might also want to consider incorporating your favorite matte/shimmer shades (as applicable) to increase the versatility of certain palettes. Consider these ideas a jumping off point!

Thanks for doing this palette. I’m enjoying these colors and getting some other ideas is cool!
I wasn’t sure whether I liked this one when you reviewed it, but seeing the combinations you can get out of it with so many olive shades, I now think it’s lovely. Thank you Christine.
Gemini 1.0 would make a really nice mini-palette!
Exactly. Without the darker browns and black. Although, I concede the need for deepening colors. In my palette stash, those are duped to death and barely dented. The rest of this is so muted, colorful, but not bright. A stack with the greens, mustard would be ideal, but why do that when you released the palette?
This palette looks like so many others for a similar of lesser price.
As always, you made it work.
This palette is one I do not like. Having Comfort Zone and a backup I just can’t get excited by these shades much. Except very few.
Is crying forever because you missed out on the 6 hours this was available considered an eye look, because that’s my life right now.
