  1. AHH! These photos are GREAT! Palettes are always my weakness. These look great!

  2. Simone

I LOVE shu’s stuff, it’s always really good quality, I can’t wait to get hold of this when it comes to the counter near me :) xx

  3. Musebeliever

I love Shu’s collections. They were too pricey for me but now I might be able to grab some items of this collection !

  5. HautePJ

This is winter wonderland fantasy to the max! Love it!

  6. Wow those palettes look amazing..as do the nailpolishes !!!

  7. Olga

Oh, these ones look so amazing! I want everything!

  8. JCz

Nail length aside, the blue polish with the swath of silver glitter going across it looks amazing.

  9. Amanda

I love that lipstick the model is wearing!

Is this the same Wong Kar Wai who is the Chinese filmmaker? I absolutely adore his movies, and even though nothing in this connection is calling to me, I’m almost feel obligated to buy something just for him!

  11. Lori

omg the promo images are soooo gorgeous!

  12. M.

Nice packaging! The gold glitter polish especially looks nice.

  13. Hannah

Do you know if you will be testing any of these products out? I would love to see reviews or just swatches even since I cannot test these products myself as I live in the US!

I love a lot of Shu products, but I don’t quite understand how they expect US customers to want to buy anything if it isn’t available anywhere in person and we don’t even have access to the full collection on the website…

  14. Wonderfull collection ! Really !

  15. Amanda

I love Wong Kar Wai and his movies!

  16. Jennifer N.

gahhhh! this is absolutely gorgeous!! such an unexpected collaboration though. but i’m not complaining! :) wkw is one of my faveeee directors… i’m too excited for my own good and my wallet :/

  17. Jeanie

I loveee Wong Kar Wai, especially In The Mood For Love and Chungking Express!

The products look beautiful too, so now I have double incentive to check it out.

  18. Naz

    Seriously beautiful collection!

  19. Natsume

This looks amazing, but those palette names suddenly caught my eye. ‘Burning in water, drowning in flame’ could be a HIM reference to their song ‘Under the Rose’? Hmmm.

Oh my god, I love Wong Kar Wai. I am so surprised and excited!

  21. wow, first time i look forward to a Shu Uemura collection! love the nail duos, eyelashes and palettes!

It’s great to see the collaboration with a director. Makeup and fashion play such an important role in his movies that to me it makes perfect sense. I want a 10 minute long film a-la Chanel to accompany this. Otherwise it’s just teasing in a cruel sense of the word because so far it looks STUNNING! It’s the first collection that captures the magic of holiday to me, while staying right on trend. Chanel and Guerlain’s ads are a bit underwhelming.

  23. Beautiful collection. Want those glitter lashes. Wong Kar Kai- Chinese name with a Japanese brand. How ironic. That would be a big “no no” right after World War II…..my ancester would be screaming in their graves. But it’s 2011, and I am getting the lashes and maybe other stuff too. Just love Shu Uemura…can believe it no longer sells in stores in the US.

  24. Avatar of Brenda brenda

To be honest, I had to google Wong Kar Wai to find out who he is. Rarely do I find collections that I feel are truly beautiful however this one I do!!

  25. oh my! the gold and silver glitter looks a lot like chanel satellite my allt ime favorite chanel, will you swatch these????

  26. Gosh wkw is my fav director ever…

  27. kamkam

well it sounds all very cool…i would jump at the chance of buying them if I didn’t read about CRAZY radiation level in Japan in NY times. I’m saying good bye to Japanese products for good.

  28. Fina

No palettes or blush for US customers. At this point, I’m not surprised at that decision either. Saves me money from buying it.

Still a pretty collection. Would love to see the lipstick swatches at least.

  29. Janice

I just talked to representative about the palettes and she said to check back onto the website in mid November.

  30. Try to get the $75 lashes today when it was supposed to launch…already sold out.

  31. Gabe Gomes

I think the brush set is the one i am more excited for, cause having good brushes is half the way to make a good makeup. But i am also really excited for the glitter mascara (:

  32. Kate

Damn, I can’t find the eye palettes online anywhere :(

  33. I love this collection, especially the glitter mascara and the blush!!!
