Guerlain Giulette Rouge G Lipstick
The Summer Season: Guerlain Giulette Rouge G Lipstick
Guerlain Giulette (#63) Rouge G Lipstick ($46.00) is a beautiful shade of brightened pink with a smidgen of coral and a glossy golden sheen. It’s that subtle, but noticeable, golden sheen and threaded golden shimmer that really makes this shade stand out. I haven’t quite found a dupe that really compares to the way this one shines! So, so in love with this shade–probably one of my favorite shades of all time.
Is this the right pink lipstick for you? Would you wear it?
The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.

I adore this colour - I splurged and got it a couple of months ago and I just love it! It's such a girly, playful, fun colour - I have a party tonight and I am SO gonna wear this, maybe with a soft gold and brown eye... LOVE!
I've been trying desperately to restrain myself from spluging on these rouge G's, but Guiliette has broken my will! I must have this!
I have this, it's such a beautiful and bright color, and heads do turn whenever I wear this since this is so eye-catching. This is my 3rd Rogue G and I'm happy with all of them. The quality of these lipsticks are outstanding, but the reason why Rogue G's are so expensive is because the case is designed by renowned jeweler Lorenz Baumer.
Yes -- I definitely believe that about $10 of the price is "for the case." Whether it's TRULY justified by it, I have no idea. Personally, while unique and interesting, the case is so heavy and still collects fingerprints... and they're a pain to store :( I'd rather $30-35 price tag with regular packaging myself!
so pretty :] I'm still on this no-spend but that's because I'm going to treat myself on my birthday in May to some of these gorgeous summer lipsticks you've been swatching :]
That is just a beautiful pink color. I've been loving all the pink lipsticks that you have posted!! Thanks for posting, I can see the true colors and that will help me better when I go lipstick shopping.
Ahh I love this, Christine do you think it'll look good on darker tones (NC42)? The Rouge G formula is my favourite ever, love Galante & Ginger!
It's Autumn here in Australia, saw these swatches and it killed me - I have to have this lipstick!!!
Oh, is this the one that is reminiscent of MAC's recent Victorian? Christine, I was wondering, if I missed out on that one, and not quite ready to for out 46$ for this one (and I expect it to be even more here...:(), do you have any suggestions of something pretty similar? Maybe a MAC one (we sadly don't have access to UD, Stila, Smashbox, Nars etc...meh) Sorry if it's a bit off topic!
I really haven't found anything similar to Victoria (well, that isn't $46, lol - this is similar, but different -- better, IMO!). You should call MAC and see if you can do the Gone But Not Forgotten program!
I'm almost sure we don't have that program here, but thanks for the suggestion and the reply. :) I guess I'll start warming myself up to the thought of paying even more for a lipstick (but first I'll try and finish up a few). :)
