The Summer Season: Cle de Peau #26 Lipstick
Cle de Peau #26 Lipstick ($55.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a glossy, lightly champagne-shimmered coral-orange with a mostly opaque finish. What makes a Cle de Peau lipstick stand out from other high-end lipsticks is its ability to give lips a plumper, fuller appearance while minimizing lip lines. I always notice my lips look better when I wear one of Cle de Peau’s shades–right from the get go–compared to some other mid-to-high end lipsticks. Whether that effect is necessarily worth $55 is for you to decide, but this lipstick is certainly luxe with its weightless, glossy full-coverage color that lasts a solid four to five hours (though the sheen fades around two or three hours, the color itself lingers).
Is this the right coral lipstick for you? Would you wear it?
The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.

That's an interesting-looking finish for fifty-five bucks--but, frankly, I don't recall ever seeing a lip color quite like that before!
So, I'd love to try this (and other orange/coral shades) out, but how would this look on someone with dark hair and pale skin? As in, Christina-Ricci-as-Wednesday-Adams pale?
Costly but the wear time may make it worth it. Love the somewhat-costly Rouge Volupte, but in the end, because of the poor longevity on the wear, you end up using more of the product than needed. I'd like to give the Cle de Peau a try next time I'm near a CdP counter.. besides, it looks amazing on you!
Ooh. This color is gorgeous! I'm so excited for you to feature more corals during the Summer Season. I think I just found my perfect one in Chanel's Rouge Coco in Egerie (I had literally been looking for a color like that for over a year) but it's always fun to see new and different ones! I particularly have trouble finding peaches and corals that stay peach and coral on me, so this is awesome. =)
Aww, it's so fantastic when you find that ONE shade you've been dying for! Happy to hear Egerie is it :)

I love it, but I clicked to leave it. I just can't justify that much money on a lipstick. My all time favorite lipstick for the spring and summer is a lippie by LORAC...and thats $22, which is my one and only splurge lipstick. I really adore the color of this one, though!
Beautiful color! Don't know about the $55, though...it would have to be really awesome in person. :)
I love that color but $55 for a lipstick is a little too expensive for me...do you have any MAC dupes for this shade?
Such a lovely shade! ♥♥ Shame I've never seen this brand in France! (well maybe not such a shame for my sanity and my credit card's!)
the scary (and epic!) thing about all of your lip colours (lipstick, lipgloss, anything!) is that you look flawless in every picture! somehow all colours compliment your skin. that makes me very jealous lol.
