The Summer Season: Bobbi Brown Guava Lipstick
Bobbi Brown Guava Lip Color ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is an opaque shade of peachy coral with no shimmer, just a soft sheen, and a creamy feel and look. It applies beautifully and makes lips look fuller and softer. This is a great way to wear coral without being too coral, and it’s a fitting shade for summer without being bright or bold, too. It’s not sheer so it’s still noticeable, though. Gotta love the scent- and taste-free nature of it, too!
Is this the right coral for you? Would you wear it?
The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.

Gorgeous! Reminds me of Stila's Convertible Color in Lillium, my HG blush, which I sometimes wear on lips as well. going to go get me this l/s. thanks for nice review and swatches!
I concur, this colour looks wonderful on you! How does it compare to MAC Ravishing, colour and texture wise?
A bit darker, not quite as light and peachy. Texture is similar, though this is smoother and creamier.
Hey, Christine! I was wondering whether you know a good drugstore dupe for this. I LOOOVE this color but I don't really have $22 for a lipstick at the moment. Thanks in advance if you know of one! :)
oh, Christine, please stop breaking my bank! Start only posting ugly lipsticks that I will never in a million years buy or wear! --yet another that HAS to be added to my list of wants.
Lovely! Christine, how does this compare to Mac's Vegas Volt? I have VV and love this but I don't want dupes. Thanks! :-)
This looks really pretty! Would you say it's similar to Jazzed? I am assuming Jazzed is more orange-leaning than this one?
This is a really nice shade, a sort of peach-coral. I've been searching for a shade like this, so I'll be checking this one out..
Oooh, this might be a good replacement for Urban Decay's Jailbait... more coral, I think, but it looks close. I love the color of Jailbait, but I hate the taste. Definitely checking this one out :)
This is such a pretty color! Unfortunately, coral usually looks weird on me, maybe the trick is finding the right shade for my skin. Im an nc40-42 and Im still trying to find shades that look good for me. I might test this out next time Im at Macys.
Silly question, but is there such thing as a cool orange? I'd like to wear orange lips but given my cool undertones, I never can!
A very nice wearable shade indeed. It looks classic and "safe", if I could put it that way. The kinda shade you would wear to Satuday brunch with your in-laws. :)
You can really wear so many colours! so jealous. only pinks suit me I think but i'll have to try to move outside my comfort zone. anyway this is lovely, would be perfect with a chocolate brown smokey eye!
Oh a quick question: do you take close up pictures of your lips and eyes or do you take an overall photo and zoom in?
