What’s the Best Daily Moisturizer…?
What brand/product wins this category? What’s your skin type?
Thanks to Leila for today’s topic!
Decleor Hydra Floral Emulsion, THE moisturizer for combination skin with dehydration, especially in the winter. I also really like Origins VitaZing SPF 15, but it´s not rich enough for me now with the cold weather.
dr hauschka rose cream during winter. i havent found anything that works great for me during summer though.
Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer. I love this stuff. Smells amazing, sinks right in, instantly brightens my skin for an overall glow. My favorte thing about it? The subtle rose scent. Of course, there is no SPF, so I always follow a separate sunscreen. My HG is Peter Thomas Roth Ultra Light oil free SPF30.
cliniques dramaticaly different moisturerizing lotion. i know alot of people like the gel better but this one works amazing for my my dry skin
I've been loving Fresh's Soy Face Cream for nighttime use, but for the day, I just use my sunscreen as my moisturizer, as my skin doesn't need a ton of moisture during the day if I moisturize adequately at night. My sunscreen is Z-Silc SPF 30 (true love).
Durance mattifying day fluid for combination skin with lavender oil, smells good, is mattifying and gives just the right amount of moisture to my skin
biotherm auquasource or chanel moisture+, both expensive but really great products if you have very dry skin like me
I love Ole Henriksen's Sheer Transformation creme. It's an oil-free moisturizer that's creamy without being greasy. It also helps fade skin discolorations which is a big plus for me because my Asian skin is prone to hyperpigmentation.
I love Origins "A Perfect World." I have tried so many moisturizers, and this feels the best on my skin. And it doesn't break me out!
Bobbi Brown Oil Control Lotion SPF 15 during the warmer months; Ole Henriksen Herbal Day Creme SPF 15 in the cold. I *always* use SPF!
I keep trying others and loving them but I always go back to daywear for combo skin and it makes me look younger, better sleep, gets rid of redness and makes foundation apply best. after a couple decades I'd like to do something new but there's something in the daywear that really works
Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre. How come nobody has mentioned this?! Professional make-up artists' top pick!! Best thing everrr
This might sound really stupid but does it contain embryonic fluids or any ingredients made of embryonic fluids?
I got mine online at kuocosmetics.ca but I think they've closed their business. You can find out what stores and websites carry Embroylisse products by filling in the state or province you're from on their website. http://www.embryolisseusa.com/where-to-buy
Cerave for when you dont need sunscreen Paulas Choice mattifying lotion with SPF for when you need sun protection
I love my oil of olay complete for sensitive skin. It's the only moisturizer that doesn't break me out!
Merlot natural grape seed moisturizer. I love how it smells and feels on my skin. It's very affordable and has spf to boot.
merlot does smell amazing, pretty colors, and soaks right in but it contains petroleum and made me broke out really bad. now i use h20+ hydrating treatment it is the best!
Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel-Creme! I'm almost done my second jar, and I have 2 more backups waiting for me :)
Agreed! This stuff is awesome for oily/combo skin. My skin is both oily and dry and it's perfect for this. One layer over my whole face suits the oily spots and another layer over the dry areas and I'm good to go! It's also good in the summer for people who get oily seasonally.
So, this question is right up my alley because I have combination skin that can break out easily. I've tried everything Clinique and all of it didn't work; I ended up still oily and with break-outs. That being said, I LOVE ORIGINS PERFECT WORLD moisturizer. When I first tried it I was apprehensive because it isn't oil free, but I've been using it for months now and it's amazing! (My friend was using Chanel's skin care and switched over too!) I don't get breakouts with it and it keeps my skin happy, even in the crazy-dry Michigan winter! :)
Beyond Belief Vita C+ Splash Off Foaming Cleanser - its creamy, super moisturizing, cleans extremely well, leaves my skin refreshed & clean, is in expensive and does not contain any ingredients that triggers my allergies.
Ooops! I read best cleanser. anyway, the best Daily Cleanser is Revlon Eterna's Day Cream, super moisturizing, firms & tones the skin, absorbs easily and is super super hydrating. The only drawback is that it does not have an SPF, but this is such a small drawback in light how great this moisturizer it is almost not worth mentioning.
currently my fav is jason naturals ester c lotion, its got no nasty chemicals and is full of vitamins that make my skin glow, i have dry sensitive skin and its perfec for normal daily use :)
Jan Marini Transformation Cream. Hands Down. My skin is sensitive/dry. But, it used to be oily/combo. This moisturizer is for combo/oily girls, but I still love it. It doesn't irritate either.
Kiss My Face Apricot lotion! Awsome hydration and the AHA makes it perfect for anyone who gets minor breakouts. It makes your skin super soft and since I have started using it I no longer wash my face twice a day, only to wash my makeup off, as the moisturiser leaves behind no residue and absorbs completely!
The best daily moisturizer is my super oily skin LOL! Saves me a lot of $ because I don't need to buy a moisturizer.
Ohh, you guys will laugh, but I use Nivea creme (yup, on my face). I actually have normal/oily skin with stubborn, random dry patches, but this didn't cause any breakouts and soothed my easily irritated skin. Love it!
I like Lush's Celestial, though I just ordered some Steam Cream as the cute little tins drew me in. Sounds like it will be a lot like Celestial anyway.
i use lush's celestial as well. i tried hope in a jar. i tried the one with spf and the one for dry sensitive skin. they both broke me out. celestial is my favorite! it is great if you have dry sensitive skin but i think people with normal skin would like it too. it also smells like vanilla yocrunch yogurt.
I LOVE Creme de La Mer as well!!! I swear it makes my acne scars dissapear! I also use the baume de la mer and their lip balm! :)
