Shiseido BR307 Strata Eye Color Trio

Still Loving Shiseido’s Eye Color Trios

Shiseido Strata (BR307) Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio ($33.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a neutral-colored trio of eyeshadows with the same fantastic formula as Tropicalia. If bold colors aren’t your thing, consider Strata. It’s a mix of a golden, taupe-y brown, medium brown with neutral undertones, and a pearly white with subtle white gold sheen. The texture of these trios is so buttery, almost creamy, and nicely pigmented, too.

I always think of Shiseido for skin care (perhaps because some of the first Shiseido products I tried were from their suncare range), but these eyeshadows are stellar. I mean, they’re truly impressive–you gotta swatch ‘em next time you’re near a Shiseido counter.

I wonder why you gave it 7 out of 10 for value? 33 dollars really doesn’t seem that bad for an eyeshadow trio? I guess it was based on the quantity.

    • It’s based on price per ounce compared to other similar brands — 0.10 oz. for $33 is pretty low given that it is in a trio (palette) for other high end brands.

    these swatch pretty…
apparently these shadow trios are inspired by dick page’s photographs from his travels… i think i read an article in allure or something…some of them are very unusual shade combinations.

  6. I wonder how these colors would work on mot people. I’d better that they wouldn’t look right. I think those colors could make some people look sickly. But if it works, then awesome!

didn’t think the colors would be so pretty, good you tried them on your arm!!! pretty!!!

  10. I really like these new Shiseido trios. I purchased this one over the weekend and the Macy’s exclusive Beach Grass trio which is lovely as well. They are so simple to use and the texture is great!

  11. Now after several trie I bought it – it not warm, rather neutral, only the colour in the middle tends to show up a tad orangey.
Great formula, lovely, long wearing, A+ – and I think the colours last pretty long, so I am fine with the price tag compared to Dior and Chanel, which European formuals might be poorer in its quality.
