NARS Oasis Blush
Quick Vacation to a NARS Oasis
NARS Oasis Blush ($26.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as a “sparkling pink champagne.” I wonder how they settled on that description, because this shade is extremely difficult to describe aptly!
It actually looks like a rather muddy mess of pink, berry, and gold shimmer in the pan, but it’s quite beautiful when applied onto skin. It really doesn’t look gorgeous in the pan, as many blushes often do, but don’t judge a book by its cover. On skin, it becomes a rosy berry mauve with soft flecks of gold shimmer-glitter (not quite glitter, but larger than glitter!). The pigmentation is excellent, and like many NARS blushes, a light hand is a must! (In fact, you may want to use a stippling brush or have a buffer brush on hand for diffusion of color.)
Despite being neutral to neutral-cool, it wears well on my warmer skin tone (which may be a little tanner, since I spent the weekend outdoors, though I was lathered in SPF for sure!) and is a great alternative to starkly cool pink blushes for those with stronger warm undertones. There is some glittery bits in this blush, but it’s not overwhelming and doesn’t even seem to translate onto cheeks at all (just seems to disappears into a magical puff of glittery smoke and mirrors!), but cheeks do have a soft, subtle luminous sheen–that doesn’t emphasize pores–when all is said and done.

Hey christine, how do you think this would look on NC15 skin? it looks gorgeous on you!! I am going to be in sephora next week and am trying to decide between this and Korres natural blush!
On my 40/42 skin tone, this blush looks kinda mussy. I look like someone beat me up! Perhaps it was how the MA applied it on me at the NARS counter... I bought it regardless :P Cause I wanna like it :p I'll see how it goes! Haha.
Im a NW50 & I loveeeeeeeeeee Oasis blush.. I wanted to get the orgasm or super orgasm blush... but the sales lady in Sephora insisted I try it bc the orgasm & super orgasm blush would be translucent.
Does this compare to MAC Blushbaby (minus the shimmer) or is my computer playing tricks on me? It looks quite similar in the pan, as far as I can tell. What do you think?
You need to thin your brows desperately...I'm just being honest and nice....you'll look even better.
I love my brows the way they are (took me years to get them just right!) - sorry you don't like them!
from your description this seems to be alot like springsheen by mac which i own and i love very much!
I think this is gorgeous in the pan and gorgeous on the skin. In the pan it reminds me of a slightly pinker and more mauve version of Nars Madly blushl.
I'm looking for a Nars blush for my NW20-25 skin, that looks naturally, and not too much shimmer. I have to order it online because Nars is not available in my country, do you know te perfect Nars-shade for me?
I love NARS Blushes (Orgasm, Desire, Gina & Zen) - I was looking into some Fall shades of which include Sin and Exhibit A. Should I add Oasis to that? XD
this reminds me of SOFTDEW beauty powder from the indie girl look in a box SO MUCH. christine, do you have/ plan on picking any of the look in a boxes up any time soon? theyre really great :)
looking pretty christine m thinking of buying deep throat as recc. by you long time back.... what would u say about this blush on me ?? should i go for this or deep throat?? i have only one blush from nars... love rashmi
This blush reminds me a little bit of Stark Naked.. sadly I can't pull it off because it's too much of a bruised look for me!
I have gone through bouts of total OBSESSION with NARS blushes...and yet this one managed to fly under my radar!! Not anymore!!! Haha. I think I will add this to my wish list! :D
Oasis is one of my absolute favorite blushes. I prefer it more for Fall.. but it's something I can never see myself without. Love it. I agree that it doesn't look amazing in the pan but swatched/applied, I think it's one of NARS' best blushes!
I love NARS Deep Throat and Lokoum, and I just recently purchased Radiance, by Smashbox. I feel like I'm set on blushes, but this is so pretty...!
Oasis is one of my fave blushes ever, I thought on my skin it would look muddy or be too dark as so many NARS blushes (I'm a MAC NW20 for ref.) are for me, but this is really a gorgeous mauve with a hint of shimmer and not too dark, it's very buildable.
I honestly don't have a lot of nars blushes but i have orgasm and one of my favorites is torrid but I'm definitely considering purchising a couple more especially this one and I was wondering if maybe you could swatch silvana
They have some great shades! Here is a post with NARS blush swatches (I don't own Silvana) - http://www.temptalia.com/nars-cosmetics-blushes-swatches
I was planning on getting Deep Throat (NC30), but these pictures of Oasis is making me yearning for more!
