hey, I was in my mac today (house of frasers, glasgow) and apparently this will be an online exclusive for the uk. Pretty pretty please can you put up swatches?I find it much easier to judge from your swatches than pictures of the products in their packaging whether I want something or not.
Hey thanks christine for all the hard work you put in on this blog and for keeping us informed about the upcoming m.a.c collections :) Sure enough the cham-pale collection launched on the 26 of december. I was like the first one at the m.a.c counter when the mall opened..lol I had to stock up on my feline eyeliners. I bought three...thats enough for me to last me for the year :)
aaaaaahhhhh! jaw dropped for dark diversion and follow your fantasy... virgin isle and too chic look nice aswell...
I've been checking nonstop on their website since yesterday. They haven't put up Stylishly Yours or Cham-Pale yet. I thought it was a little odd to want to have collections out on a Sunday, especially the day after Christmas. At least if they had really planned on releasing these collections on Sunday online they should of had them available before the holiday in case people wanted to buy for family & friends. I still love MAC, but this was a really bad pr move on their part. I'm not going to keep checking. It's unfair for them to say one thing and then not do it. I may skip these collections and just wait for a latter one.
Ran out to my fave MAC boutique before the snow hit and got Madly Magenta and Something New (was able to use my Back 2 Mac for it). Gorgeous colors! I'm on the list to be called when Peacocky comes out.
will this collection be available on the maccosmetics.com website? i haven't seen it online yet but usually the new collections arrive online a couple days earlier than the in-store launch date
I picked up the lipstick in cockney and the fallow your fantasy pigment online at nordstrom, i am very excited to see them in person
Love your site! Thank you so much for your reviews. I am a makeup artist at Sephora and an esthetician so I love reading your reviews! I bought most of this (even thought I have more hot pink lipsticks to count) and some of the champale collection today and I didn't even think to ask if the pigment in the colour bases are safe for eye and lip? Karlasugar said no and my friends at the MAC counter didn't say otherwise. Was wondering if you knew?
All of your products should come with safety warnings - my CCBs each had a safety sheet in them, and they said they are lip and cheek safe, just not eye safe.
The model is the same who was in the Euristocrats II promo photo, and the makeup in the backstage shot here: http://www.temptalia.com/mac-euristocrats-ii-collection-for-fall-2009 looks awfully lot the same than in this Stylishly Yours -shot, which would mean that it's actually some Bobbi Brown gloss on the lips in this new promo photo here...
christine do you know what mac collections will have special packaging in 2011? i know it's kind of early to ask but i love their special packaging!
I got to check out this collection the other day. I'm obsessed. Its beautiful. Re-promotes and new products. I'll be spending a bit too much.
How come KarlaSugar has reviewed this already? its not out til 26th! :S dying to see your review Christine <3
what do you recommend for olive skin tone??? i'm desperate to find good colors for me...thank you!!!
Oh, how I wish that Dark Diversion was a paint pot instead of a a fluidline. Such a gorgeous color. I'm not sure if I'll be getting anything from this collection, except maybe the beauty powders, if they're nicely pigmented and different enough from the ones I already have.
Well, my spending more wisely "plan" for New Years will go out with a bang then and THEN I can start lol
Thanks! Am wondering how 'Dark Diversion' will vary from 'MacroViolet' or Bobbi Brown's violet gel liners (violet and black mauve)... Hmmm.... Looking forward to swatches!
Christine! I have a question for you! Last year (I don't know when exactly) you reviewed a lipstick that was beautifully festive....kind of a ruby, burgundy, rich lipstick. It's similar to Baby's on Fire (MAC) but not as sheer. You even commented in your review that the lipstick seemed very festive. I'm searching for that lipstick! I've searched through your archives and can't find it. By *any* chance, do you remember it? I'm sorry about the sketchy details!
The beauty powder looks nice, but I already have so many face products/blushes that I love...maybe I'll pass.
I think the only things I'm interested in are the coral pigment and the peach beauty powder. Most of this collection is way too bright for me. MAC should stop coming out w/ so many collections so close together. It always feels like you have to get everything you want right away or they'll be sold out and they're all limited edition.
I'm a big fan of beauty powders, but I don't know if I really need either of these. I do, however, NEED Movie Star Red. That's probably it for this collection, for me.
Luckily I want nothing from this collection. I do wish I had cute freckles like that model though, instead of acne scars, haha.
I hear these are out already online for those with MAC Pro membership (which sadly does not include me). Do you know whether these CCBs are eye/lip safe?
Oh darn! I want Style Curve so bad, but it looks exactly like Go For It lipstick, which I love. Maybe it's a tad different. I am considering still getting it. I will have to wait to see what Christine thinks. If she says it's too similar to Go For It, then I won't get it.
