MAC Springsheen Blush

MAC Springsheen Blush ($21.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “golden tawny peach [with a Sheertone Shimmer finish].” It’s a pinky-coral with a frosted, golden sheen and warm undertones. MAC Petal Power (LE, $25.00) is very similar. Clinique Peach Pop (02) (P, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker. Charlotte Tilbury Ecstasy (P) is warmer, less pink. Too Faced Peachy Keen (LE) is very similar. Tom Ford Beauty Love Lust (P, $55.00) is warmer, less pink, darker. NARS Orgasm (P, $29.00) is very similar. Milani Dolce Pink (P, $7.99) is less warm-toned. Benefit Bella Bamba (P, $28.00) is darker, less golden. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Springsheen is part of the permanent range, and it’s a long-time favorite for many readers. The texture is soft, finely-milled, and smooth when applied and buffed into the skin. It applies color evenly, and it blends beautifully on the skin. It has a more shimmery finish, so I noticed very slight emphasis of pores, but I was surprised to find it more forgiving than the average blush with this much shimmer–especially as it is blended and softened, it seems to lessen. It had excellent color coverage that was buildable, while the blush wore well for eight hours before starting to show signs of fading.

It looks beautiful on you Christine, your skin is so healthy.
This is my favorite blush, I think it is flattering on many skin completions, I have mac petal flower and it is very close to it, also tarte glisten and I have a mini Nars orgasm, that doesn’t get much of my attention.

This is my ‘no think’ blush. If i cant decide what to wear on my cheeks, I pick this. I agree tgat it’s surprising how little this emphasises pores. I found NARS Orgasm unwearable because it made me look so shiny, but this never does

It’s a lovely peachy rose gold but there are just so many like it already that it’s hardly a groundbreaking release for Spring..

I love the gold shimmer in this blush. I think it’s beautifully subtle and gives a healthy glow. I’m definitely going to have to buy this one! I don’t use my MAC blushes as much as my Illamasqua ones (so much more pigmented and long lasting!) but some shades are just so beautiful, like MAC’S Azalea Blossom, which I adore.

What is the difference between MAC’s Springsheen and Peachykeen? Some people claim one is more pink less peach, and some claim the other way around! I have no idea which one to get.

This looks like a slightly darker version of my favorite blush at the moment… the L’Oreal True Match blush in the Innocent Flush (N3-4) color. It’s a really pretty color and not a bad dupe at $10 (less with an Ulta coupon!)

If I am really tan, I will wear it with vegas volt or costa chic. If I don’t feel like going so bold, it seems to pair nicely with Nars orgasm gloss. It also seems to pair well with rubenesque paint pot on the eyes. I don’t typically wear a highlighter with it just because it is kind of shimmery but I feel like that eliminates a step in my morning routine, which is nice.

At first, I was all “Oooh, that’s pretty!” and then, I have to remind myself I own all of about six bluses and two of them are already really similar.

I love this, especially with a little of MAC’s Improper Copper cream color base blended on top for a more bronzy look in the summer. It’s my new favorite combo.

Bought this in 2010. The color is so beautiful but it was sooo metallic on me that I decided to use it as an eye shadow, lol. One similar (maybe lighter) is Mac Mineralize Blush Dainty and this one does not make my pores scream and is my all-time favorite blush =)

This was my first Mac blush ever!!! I purchased it when I got more into makeup, I should use it more often, it is soooo pretty!

Wao such a gorgeous looking blush on you Christine its awesome 🙂 n by luck I have this blush it gives such a nice glows peachy look to my face I love it by up u r 1000% right that it don’t emphasise pores much n blend so nicely n even better than mac dollymix 🙂 but Christine its giving u the gorgeous pinky virally look while on my it’s more of a coral shimmery look not that I mind that glowing my face but I m just curious thank you sweetums for reviewing this blush n ohh I pair it with brown smokey look n coral glossy lips 🙂

I see that this has a lot of shimmer/glitter in compared to what I’m used to in a blusher..but it’s a gorgeous shade and I’m tempted by it.

Christine, do you think this would accentuate acne scars and large pores? That’s my only worry with this formulation.
