is this similar to lip stains? or is it more moisterizing? it sounds like a lipstick/lipgloss combo. like a liquid lipstick?

Christine by some miracle of some sort the Pro Longwear Lip Cremes came out in Britain yesterday at the same time as the Fabulous Felines collections! I’ll try and let you know how they are! WOOO HOOO!!
That’s what I was thinking, Britain getting something BEFORE America? I like to think the New Yorkers etc are now jealous of me down in little Wales.
I have sampled one and have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
They feel like silk on the lips, nothing like previous Mattenes or Mattes. Not really liquidy but definitely lightweight! I love the feeling of these!

The ProLongwear foundation is apparently incredibly velvety on skin and transfer-proof, along with being medium to buildable coverage and other goodies…
The pro longwear foundation gives amazing coverage but is lightweight. I have really red skin and i wore it today and about 5 customers commented on what amazing skin i had. The concealor is totally fabulous too.

Because of my dry lips, I ALWAYS have an issue with lipsticks lasting as well as lipsticks tendency to show the dry spots. I’m attracted to the “cream” aspect of these– if they’re moisturizing/non-drying AND they last forever, I’m totally sold.

I haven’t really been impressed with MAC’s fall collections…stick on packaging, a collection that brought along contraversy, and these lipsticks. Maybe Spring will be better?

It’s not that I hate this collection, but I think the packaging is really weird for me. I know slip shines are like this but just the fact that the cap is like 3/4 of the tube makes it look kinda weird. The orange looks amazing and it’s something I’m going to get two of.

I tried on “Prolong” and it was full coverage, creamy, long wearing and non feathering. I LOVED the formula. It also never got dry and crunchy on the lip. So glad these are coming!
Maybe this release is why they discontinued Slimshines?
And I hope Goes and Goes is as pretty as I think its going to be.
I’m so glad MAC is finally coming out with a longwear lipstick. I like the Longwear gloss but sometimes I just find it to be too drying.
these sound like the slimshines-just not glossy, but creamy and longlasting. since their perm i think ill just wait on them and save my money for the villinous villians, fabulous felines and rodarte mac collections.

New Pro Longwear foundation
Maybe this is as close as I get to the Mattene Lipsticks. The colours sound awesome though! Ohh and they’re permanent!!! Woot I don’t have to rush!

Oh yes, they will leave the lips dry or semi dry at the very least and would need to be topped off with a gloss and they look a lot like an updated version of a long discontinued slimshines. And with all the glitter and shiny lip products mac has been coming out with, they intrigue us with something we haven’t seen from them for a while to keep us interested. Pass.
LOL! They are nothing like Slimshines – at all. Absolutely non-drying too; I’ve never been able to wear “long-wearing” lipsticks until I tried these ones.
I can’t wait for these! I’m so excited for pictures of the whole collection. Do you know if these will be permanent or not?

Till Tomorrow, Love Forever, Perpetual Flame, Unlimited, Extended Play, and even both Overtime and Good to Go sound great to me. If Good to Go is anything like Morange then I cannot wear it at all! Even So Chaud was a slightly iffy on me, so I bought Chili instead.
Hopefully Overtime is like Angel or Kinda Sexy.

Hi Christine, i heard from a MUA that MAC plans to discontinue their range of Pro Longwear Lipcolour/gloss. Do u have any info on that?
I haven’t heard anything like that at this time.
That’s a shame because those last longer than the Outlast ones by Cover Girl and probably longer than the Max Factor LipFinity ones. They were made for events like weddings or possibly for television so that all you need to do is retouch the gloss.

I bouught these lipcremes today, as they launched here in the U.K today. They are amazing, best ever. Christine I tried to find reviews on the Pro longwear foundation and concealer. Have you tried these?

I dont know if you have the release date wrong, but i bought the Prolong today! It’s gorgeous! such a nice clean red, i was originally going for Ramblas Red, but at last minute saw these were actually on sale and tried it on..its so smooth; i have dry lips and it came on really well and has stayed on for 4hours so far with little rubbing off!

I think I am going to have to try the foundation and the concealor. I have yet to find any foundation that does not melt off my skin before I get home from work.
I tried on something from MAC that was a long lasting wear. I didn’t like it because it burned, and has even worst trying to take it off. I wonder if this is a different formula. Can’t wait for your reviews.

Looking forward to Unlimited, Perpetual Flame, and Prolong…if these last as long as MAC says they will, Unlimited and Perpetual Flame would be nice for everyday with few touch-ups, and Prolong would be great for a night out where I want something bright that I don’t have to worry about touching up. The foundation and concealer also sound like products that would definitely work for me! Christine, will you be reviewing these when they’re available in the US?

No, I don’t – I don’t have them yet, so I can’t give you an ingredient list, but I would recommend emailing MAC’s customer service to ask for a list since they should have it on file!

I don’t know, but the imagery used for this launch aren’t true-to-color – you can tell they’ve reduced the saturation/brightness of the image. My guess would be Faithfully Yours and Prolong.

I love the idea of these, but why no NW15 foundation! It’s so annoying how only a few MAC foundations come in NW15 (especially when the NC range runs so yellow that it’s basically unwearable for neutral skin tones)

I saw these lipsticks a couple a weeks ago (they came out September 1st here). They looked interesting but I did not get any.
Never tried a MAC foundation – but am always curious about foundations that claim to be “long wearing” do you know if this one is oil-free?

I am pale and pink, why can’t I have a long wear foundation???
I agree so much! I want to use MAC foundations, because they are generally a great value, but I can rarely find a color match! and I feel like so many people who are 15-range pale are either pink or neutral toned, so having only NC15 makes no sense to me!
Try the NC15 with a NW15 powder over it. The red from NW will tone down the yellow from NC. And NC15 is paler than NW15.

They launched these a couple of weeks ago in Ireland. I really like the look of love forever. It’s frustrating enough when they don’t have nw15 in the collection, which I can never understand, but to use such a pale model for the promo shoot is like rubbing salt in the wound!
Christine- when doing your review would it be possible to see what the concealer is like when used with other foundations? I use studiosculpt and face and body and wouldn’t mind trying the new concealer as it comes in nw15

I bought this matte foundation, however had to return it as it broke me out. Looks weird too. How ever the lipcremes are impressive.

I really don’t know how this happened but we already have these in Greece.. I swathced lipsticks. They are indeed longwear but to be honest i didnt like the fact that some of them were overpigmented..I liked till tomorrow a lot and it reminded me of “to pamper” from felines which is sold out here
( i also liked the purple one!although in the beginning it scared me a bit i htink it’s quite wearable and unique especially for light skin!! i’m looking forward to see the review here before i buy something;-)

In Germany this collection is released since September the 01.!! I have the Pro Longwear Concealer and it is great! Stays in place for hours!!! without powdering!!

I have the Lipcreme in Overtime and unfortunately I have to say I’m not a big fan of it.I don’t even know how to describe it,but somehow I do not like the texture.Or maybe it’s a combination of the texture and the colour on me that make me not like it that much.When I apply it,it feels super creamy the very first moment,but after that it feels kind of sticky and my lips.And its a bit difficult to apply it even,it ends up in the lines on the lips and makes them more visible.At least on me.
What I love about it is the packaging.The tube looks and feels much more high-quality than the regular MAC lipsticks.I wish the regular ones had this tube.
I hope I get to like the lipstick once I wear it more often.
