Im uber excited about Kohl Powers!Deff. stocking up!
can’t wait. already saving my B2M for last 3 shadows and I plan to buy 2 feline and 1-2 SOS kohl power liners. Nothing else beyond that. Have to stick to the budget. Thank goodness I have alot of MAC lippies, etc that I will be B2M for December and January.
Ill be interested to see if the eyeshadows are too close to the ones in the grey quad that came out with the F/W 09 collection. That quad was bleh!

I saw all of this stuff today!!Both lipglasses are soo pretty! I was unimpressed with the eyeshadows myself but Sense of Style and Raven Kohl Powers are both beautiful. The nail polish was really light. Kinda like a off white mixed with really light grey.

I am very excited for this collection. I’ll definately be getting the lipstick in Intricate Frosted, e/s in Pincurl Dusty, and the Light Affair nail laquer!
So, the eyeshadow “Hypnotizing” looks NOTHING like that picture above, it’s beautiful and the eye Kohl is nowhere near blue, and if it does, it’s a really, really, really, almost black navy with a tad bit of sparkle.

Warm and cozy collection doesn’t interest me at all, but this one, yes! I like the e/s and lipglasses. And I will probably buy some kohl power pencils, I love them.
Here’s one collection I won’t have to worry about saving for.WAY too cool toned for my neutral to warm skin. I may wind up looking sick or like I have a black eye

Hi Christine, do you have any idea if this will be an international release or US only? I live in Australia – sometimes we get “seasonal” Ltd Ed collections, sometimes we don’t, it is so frustrating!
Also, is the “Hypnotizing” eye shadow in this collection the same shade/colour/finish as the “Hypnotizing” in the Holiday “Sorceress” eye kit? (sorry if this is a silly question, I’m crazy-in-love for that shade is all!)
As far as I know, this is a normal collection coming out everywhere!

Hey Christine, I’ve heard of Feline kohl power but what’s so great about it? How different is it from MUFE Aqua Eyes?
Raven looks so pretty to me!
Feline isn’t really like MUFE Aqua Eyes at all. It’s much softer, more intense, and it feels more like a kohl than a pencil. It doesn’t have the staying power of Aqua Eyes, though.
It’s gonna be the Kohl Powers for me, I’ll have to swatch the eyeshadows first to see if I like em.
Is Hypnotizing the same as the Hypnotizing from the Sorceress palette?? Please say yes!

these colors are all dupable, i am so disappointed with mac stuff in the 2nd half of the yr
It’s sad that a lot of people are referring to some shades as “dupable”. MAC wouldn’t be such a successful company if they did a hundred of exactly the same shade with different names. Sure, you may have already picked up a SIMILAR blue shadow in the past (espesh if you guys are all MAC addicts like me!) or may already have a black liner, but if it wasn’t different enough to create, they wouldn’t be selling it! For all those Feline fans out there – imagine if people kept saying that Feline was just a dupe for Smolder. Sure, in some ways, but if that was the case then nobody would buy Feline when it came out!
A lot of you may not realise that MAC actually creates these collections about 2 years in advance, and don’t just copy and crank out the units like some companies do. Also, every new product is tested by a worldwide panel of MAC experts – senior artists, brand managers, resident trainers, and the like – who use the product over a period of at least 6 months, then fill out strict reviews on the product, and if it doesn’t get 75% or more of the panel saying that they couldn’t live without it (and remember, the people in the panel probably have entire rooms filled with MAC!), it gets pulled and reworked, or dropped completely.
So guys, spare a thought for those MAC newbies, and for all the hard work that MAC does to create amazing collections!

Do you work for MAC? You’re just very specific about what MAC does, so I’m curious if you do!
MAC is still a business, so even though creativity is very much part of MAC’s identity, it’s still important for them to listen to their customers. MAC has put out some subpar products (e.g. Suite Array) that even I couldn’t fathom how they got through testing. They’re not a perfect brand, but they certainly have many good products and shades – but inevitably, not every product can be amazing and we should all be allowed to hold our own opinions.
It would be difficult to say that there wasn’t hard work put into just about any and all products and services put into the marketplace… MAC is no exception. But I am also a paying customer and know and understand that I do pay a substantial markup on products I purchase from MAC. I love and will always be a MAC fan, but they’re not some altruistic company purely in it for creativity.
Figuring out dupes is also part of a process of budgeting – not everyone can afford to purchase every single blue eyeshadow MAC puts out (and nobody should be expected to or thought lesser of for trying to dupe new shades with previous shades).
YOU ROCK!! This is why I subscribe to your beauty blog. I trust you to give me and other readers of your blog your honest opinion and not a sales rep pitch. The economy is hard right now and if you know of a cost effective way to purchase makeup and still look fabulous why not share with fellow beauty bloggers.

I saw this collection a couple of days ago in store. The blue eyeshadows actually are the stand out colours. They are really pretty and pigmented.
I loved this collection, but the eyebrow remind me of a slug.
