Oh, I can’t wait for your review! The coral lips don’t look very coral-y to me??

Oh, there you go - you switched the names. Yeah, the coral ones are niiiiice!

I was hoping for a bit more variety in the pigments…. and a few more repromotes of LE stuff in the lipglass… It’s still a very tempting set of colours.

I do like both sets, if I didn’t already have them full-size. They’re not the best sets, but not bad.

I just (liteally on my lunch break an hour ago) came back from the MAC counter. I wanted to buy the Neutral set to add to my makeup collection, but after I tried on a few shades, I decided my $29.50 would be best spent elsewhere. The colors were so light and see through… I could’ve gotten the same effect with a tube of vaseline. NO thanks MAC. Definitely not enough color for my taste.

I’m so sorry you were disappointed, MzBE! I didn’t pick up anything either.

I’m definitely getting the Cool Pigment set. That glitter doesn’t look right with the set though.

Christine

I agree, it felt out of place!

After looking at all of the glitters, there are many better ones they could have chose. I like Purple, Reflects Turquatic or Reflects Transparent Pink.

That’s true!

Hmm, I’m gunna pass on the holiday collections this year, I really only want one brush set, but it’s like, 58$ CDN, no thank you, MAC!
I’ll just buy a few pigment samples instead, and maybe a full size of Love Nectar, since everyone seems to love it, :)

:( Love Nectar is cute, though!

The only thing i think ima pick up is the pencils but do you know if they are waterline safe?

Most of the pencils have glitter in them, so no.

Christine

I don’t think so, Yolanda :(

I got the pencils last year and they are chunky with the glitter…
:( I think I will pass on those…

Thanks!!

Did you end up with anything, Michelle?

Actually, I haven’t gone to a MAC Counter yet.
But trust you me, I’m tempted to just get em online.
Although I have to admit I am liking the cool pigments as well and those darn pencils!

But if anything I’d only get the two pigments.

Hey, here’s a question.
I was thinking about the Passions of Red collection…and was thinking about the Cool and Classic Eye Palettes :X (in addition to the Warm ones). But no seriously I need to stop..

What would you choose?

Christine

Monday, November 17, 2008

I’d skip the pencils, they’re not that great :/

Classic Eye is just okay… if you already have smoky eye colors, skip! The Cool eye is cute, but do you wear purples a lot?

Wow that’s a good way to think of it.
Thanks!
Actually when I went for the make over at Bloomies, the MA sold me purples in mineralize eyeshadow. I know that it’s a different texture but I think 2 purples is enough :P Warm Eyes it is.

What do you think about the pigments?

Christine

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

I like pigments - I have most of them full size, which is why I passed on the sets. I think the sets are great way to get multiple pigments for wayyy less!

I got the WARM pigments set. They’re really pretty to use to make a neutral or day look. And they’re well coordinated so they blend and shade perfectly! Gives a nice soft, warm look to the eyes :)

Christine

Glad you’re enjoying the warm pigments set, Manda!

I went in there all planning to get the Neutral Lips set, but for some reason I was really drawn to the Coral set, and so I got that one instead. But I’m really glad, because i LOVE it!! Ola Mango is my fave so far, I think.

Christine

Ola Mango is a great shade! I wish I had gotten it when they put it out as a LE product!

I had just gotten both warm and cool pigment sets, wanted to start trying out the pigments but i am unsure how to use it. do i mix them or just dab them like normal eyeshadow? thought this would be a good way to start collecting some pigments. I bought the basic brush set and also the eye set which seemed like a pretty good start. got myself couple of eyeshadows and it turned out awesome!

Christine

Try using them wet :)

My mum got the Softsparkle set for me as a Christmas present! I love eyeliner, they’re my favourite makeup product. Peacocked is my fave! Thanks for the great swatches :)
