wait this is launching in july/august?? is that correct?? i would think we would know more about this by now if its coming out in a month or two.
eyeshadows dont expire and the only things that may expire from mac are the lipglosses!!
omg, MAC is coming out with so many collections so frequently, I really need to save more to have more
I think you should relax and buy only what you really need and really really want otherwise you end up with a lot of expired products
thats very true and ya for the longest I would buy everything I liked when it came out (not just mac even drugstore items) and now I have tons of makeup and expiration dates and a daughter that cant wear it for 3 more years! Forget the hype buy what you need, use it then get more.

the colours look interesting, but i don’t like bright colours at all..
so i think i’m not going to purchase something from this collection..
Me 2, you can’t wear it, so you don’t need it. and i think they could do more with the casing. But that’s just my opinion.

Lime and Aqua?! Why! I hope they’re reformulated, but I doubt it.
Really? I picked up Aqua a year ago and find it to have a Matte2-type texture, super smooth and pigmented. Of course I rarely *use* it (difficult color on me!) but I think its quality is still good.
I find it SO stubborn
Chalky and hard to get pigment out of. I will have to revisit and work harder, LOL.

Woah. The colours look gorgeous in the photos! I don’t know if I want any though, because I’m not a huge fan of MAC’s matte formula. I’ll have to play with them in store. Shock A Holic sounds A-ma-zing!

I was talking to one of the guys who works at my counter and he said that the pigmentation is super intense compared to the regular lipglasses. According to him they are basically the pigmentation of an amplified lipstick, but in lipgloss form. Who knows if that will be the case though!

it’s a favorite of mine! it’s also nice to see “going bananas” out again! (i’ll probably be snagging a few of those!) aaaannnd i’m also going to need some more room in my kit for lipglosses… sigh… lol.
christine, why do i like lipgloss so much? i have dazzleglasses and lipglasses that i hardly ever use (i always just mix my own gloss on the spot)… but i keep buying them anyway. haha! there’s a question for you – any products that you keep buying but only to own, not to use? (mine would definitely be lipgloss… and orange lipstick. i LOVE orange lipstick but never use it! lol!)

I buy lip products like they’re going out style. Eyeliner? I don’t know… almost feels like EVERY product! I’d say the item I buy and rarely use is probably nail polish. I have bins and bins and keep buying and yet I never have time (or make time) to do my nails.

This collection seems be a little heavy on the blues. I mean, I love blues, but 5 out of 12? Also, not really a fan of having so many permanent shades in a collection.
I really like the look of the lipglass packaging, and I’m always happy to check out new lipgloss forumulas from MAC, but whether I buy any of them will probably mostly come down to how much is in the tube.
I guess I’m one of the very few that don’t find this collection interesting at all! I’m not big on those typical childish, bright eyeshadows and the lipglasses aren’t catchy at all
But yay for saving money hah!

Are they repackaging the lipglasses? Looks longer and thinner in the promo pics.
It looks like it could be a different *type* of lipglass, but I don’t really know at this time. I imagine more info will come out soon enough! They do say “DARE TO WEAR” on them as well, which suggests they’re special.

No, based on the product photography, they’re all in regular black pots. Usually if MAC does anything special, all the photos will reflect that
That’s a shame, those colourful pots and lipgloss ends look funky!
too many mattes
i can’t wait to visit free to be, going bananas and lime .. they all seem quite “natural” colors that can be translated on the lid compared to others .. but we will see what the finishes will be like.

Well; here is a collection where I’m going to want it all =( damn mac…
i think these eyeshadows might fall into the category of ‘keep buying but not so much wearing’….sigh…
the lipglosses look/sound a bit like they might be along the lines of illamasqua intense glosses…wishful thinking perhaps!
Ok so yes this collection does look amazing (I love me some bright,regardless of how little I use them) however I think its funny that MAC are re promoting some of the most loved limited edition products atm, going bananas, stereo rose etc. Also is it just me or does shock a holic look oddly similar to MUFE no.92…coincidence? I think not. Haha can’t blame them for jumping on that money making bandwagon though, or at least attempting to.
Those lipglasses look quite interesting. As for the shadows, I love brights and I love mattes, so this is win/win for me. Good thing I’m on a NO BUY for June, gives me time to save up for this collection!

wow , this seems like a collection that they put out on the fly, since we are hearing about it so last moment (considering we knows stuff months in advance). u would think they would put out this collection in june (this month)since theirs no mac collections out this month (thank god), but now we have to save up for this one, alice/olivia and in the groove – sheesh mac!
i got totally excited when i saw that it may have the hot colored packaging, but bummed when i saw the black reg packaging.

u know what i dont get with mac ! is why do they put perm/pro colors in their collections anyways, when we can get them anytime? i mean i never buy them , bc im always getting the le ones that will go away. i think its a waste of space. now unless they are putting them in le packaging, like the free to be in the liberty london collection- then i would consider buying it . thats what mac SHOULD do if they want to sell some of their perm products in collections!

Since the tubes also say ‘DARE TO WEAR’ on them, I don’t think this is permanent packaging… at least not yet.
hmm, now that i think of it, i just might get all of the limited edition eyeshadows. im actually kind of glad that there are some perm/pro ones in this collection because i wont have to worry about snagging them up quick.
It’s funny, Kalee — sometimes we complain about too many repromotes/permanent shades, but then it *does* save us money or takes some pressure off of having to get it *right* away! We are never satisfied, LOL!
I love the brightness of the colours, but I’m not a huge fan of matte lipsticks as a rule (would have preferred satins if they were going for a non-shimmery finish). Any of the pro stuff I can get whenever I want at the pro store here, so that doesn’t excite me too much. Of the ones that aren’t permanent, I’m looking at
Going Bananas- I’ll have to see how similar it is to Bright Sunshine. I don’t wear yellow e.s often, so there’s no point in having both if they’re close.
Sassy Grass- It says pale but the photo (unreliable, I know), looks almost exactly like Kelly e/s, which I have. I’ll see when it comes out.
Louder Please- This is the one that probably interests me the most, but I want to see it in person to see how close it is to Passionate.
From the glosses, maybe Ban This and/ or Bold & Brash. The others all sound like dupes for things I already own…

No, it’s a fall collection, so it’s definitely after In the Groove. It will be either late July or early August.

I think by “July 10″ it’s July 2010, because the 10th is a Saturday, which wouldn’t make any sense! Right now, my info says the 29th. If it changes, I’ll be sure to update it, as well as when all the official details come in.

they aleeady had this line out My mac store today when I picked up my in the groove preorder.i already had going bananas so I got sky blue only.

I am not too familiar with Mac pro but understand anyone can order over phone…are the consumer prices the same as regular Mac? I’m wondering if I should order the colors from pro to get the pans and save a few bucks…besides cost are there any advantages or disadvantages….I am usually one for convenience over cost but want to buy all the shadows so any way to save a few bucks on them
