MAC Dame Edna Winter 2008 Collection

I love this entire collection! The lipsticks are so gorgeous and creamy! And I love the promo video! “Oh, I’m the only person in the world lucky to have this hair color naturally” LOL!!

The packaging for this collection is incredibly tacky. It makes me not even want to buy anything..

Wow, this whole collection just isn’t for me–I think the only things I’m tempted by are the nail polishes!

OHHHHHH I think its is just too cheezy cute fun!!! Majorly dorky silly AND I think I might be getting a pretty good chunk of this collection. I think I am at the point in my MAC collecting that I am just really only going to buy LE packing items and this certainly qualfies :) I will likely get all or most of the lippies, the pink blush BUT none of the eye products or polishes though.

I didn’t know about this collection!
I am not interested in the least in the e/s trios. These days, considering that I own 100+ e/s, I have become sooo picky. I also already own Climate Blue (which I loooove), and as for the other colors, I have lots of similar ones. However, I DO want the 3 lippies - especially since some are amplified (is MAC bringing back some amplified lippies in the guise of some LE collection? I thought that they were phasing them out.. Same happened with “Red She Said). Also want the 2 powder compacts and the 2 nail lacquers, that is until I see them in person.

hmmm…I think I’ll pass on this one. The only thing that catches my eye is the coral lipstick.

To be honest, this collection doesn’t do anything for me. The only thing that I really like is the Royal Tour Eye Trio.

Eh, I’ll probably get the lipglasses, but that’s it. Nothing else looks interesting.

I want the powders!!

Omigosh I abso-effin-lutely LOVE Dame Edna and this just seems so tame for the Dame. I guess the blue/purple pallet is cool and the lip stuff looks lush but the packaging… Well, purple and red will forever mean crazy old woman ala “Red Hat Society” to me. Not really what a younger woman wants to be associated with when she takes out a compact. I may pick up a powder if the packaging is fun and quality like Heatherette and not a sticker like Fafi. I’ll really need to see this in person because it could be fab or it could just not.

I am very excited about this collection, but I must say that the name “varicose” for a cosmetic item, is not very glamorous. Though, considering the collection, kinda funny.

I’m not sure about this one - i thought for Dame Edna they’d pull out all the stops for BRIGHT eye colours but these are blah.
Ah well at least I won’t have to save to spend some on this collection, I might get the kanga-rouge lipstick but that’s it :(

Blech! Do not like the red glasses. They remind me of the elderly aunt with bad makeup and too much perfume. I’m afraid it’ll give me nightmares.

I think I may throw up. X/ Seriously. Grossest makeup names EVER.

These don’t interest me much, but the names alone turn me off completely.

Wisteria Eye Trio (though I love the other one, the purple looks gorgeous but I have Climate Blue and to try and keep within a budget I’ve vowed not to buy duplicates!)
Spectacle powder compact.

Squee! I have been waiting for more info on this collection! I love so much of it. Oh, HOORAY. I’ve been utterly luke warm about the recent releases so it is great to be eagerly anticipating something again.

This collection has so much humor - I love that. I wish more people were willing to have a bit of fun with their makeup, in so many ways.

woohoo, my wallet is happy! The only thing that slightly appears to me is splendid lipglass! Perfectly doable considering I’ll have some gift cards left over from the Holiday season! You’d think I’d have a fit over this collection, but now that I see it, it seems to be colors I already have.

This collection is hilarious! what a funny thing for MAC to do! The packaging is cute and tacky at the same time! how could u resist those little glasses? lol I want the Royal eyes trio and the red lipstick! can’t wait to see the print work for it! I bet they make her look hot!

While the packaging is cute, the colors don’t speak to me… unless Heatherette… So most likely I am going to pass on Dame Edna.
